Publisher's Description

Known for his prophetic gift, Hubie Synn has seen the miraculous take place in the lives of those he's ministered to, including Jonathan Cahn, the New York Times best-selling author of The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah. Sharing his own personal experiences in The Tales of a Wandering Prophet, Synn shows you how to hear from God, demonstrating that God can use anyone for His glory.

During his travels Synn is asked over and over again, "How can I be so sure that God wants me to do something or speak to someone?" He has wondered the same thing himself. Though he has been scared and had second thoughts, he would rather step out and deal with the consequences instead of passing up the opportunity. Once you realize it is better to take a deep breath and just step out, it will change all aspects of your life.

I love this book. Hubie is so down to earth and humble. I really appreciate his honesty about not wanting to do what God is asking of him. I often feel this way, and always feel guilty, but Hubie lets me know I'm not alone. This is a wonderfully inspiring book and easy to read. I find it hard to put down.

Usually when I pick up a book to read, I expect a certain quality of writing style to show far more "professionalism." But that lack is an asset in Mr. Synn's case. The author, Hubie Synn, has no professional writing back-ground and he writes in a simple conversational style that is easy to read. That simple writing style reveals his timidity with the whole concept of being an occasional prophet for God.

How refreshing that is! And how refreshing it is to know that God uses such people to minister to others on His behalf. I don't know Mr. Synn personally, but reading this book has somehow made me feel akin to him. He, too, is a Christian, deeply in love with God and though a bit on the timid side, he's more than willing to allow God to use him in any manner God chooses.

God's message goes out ....and those He uses might seem very unlikely candidates for such a Divine mission, but it's not so much who God uses; it's the willingness with which they take on His mission. God even used a donkey once, and it wasn't the one Jesus rode into Jerusalem. That just proves He has a flexible sense of purpose. His mission is everything.... He'll do anything to accomplish it, and He'll use any means to accomplish it.

That's what makes God so awe-inspiring ....and so worthy of our love, our time and our talents. He blessed us with everything we have. He has every right to use what He's given us, including our lives if He so wills. We all need to be prepared to say, "Here I am Lord, Send me! Use me! I am willing."

This is the true story of a self-described ordinary man who has had some amazing experiences with God. Hubie Synn considers himself to be "just" an accountant, a husband and a father. However, he is also a man who has turned his life, and it's direction, over to God. And by doing that, this ordinary man has experienced the extraordinary.

Following God has resulted in Hubie rubbing shoulders with many well-known people in both public and Christian circles. Many times, he would rather not have done what God was urging him to do. In fact, he has often asked the Lord to send someone else. But in the end, Hubie has been obedient and done what he was asked.

When you give God an open door....

God has given him special messages to give to people. Rarely does he know ahead of time who he will speak with, often it is someone he has never met. Out of the blue, Hubie will get a nudge from the Almighty to speak with a certain person. When he gives them their message, he isn't aware of much, if any, of what comes out of his mouth. Jonathan Cahn, the well-known author of both The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah was one of the people Hubie was led to speak to. The words spoken by Hubie to Jonathan had a profound effect on the path The Harbiner took.

Hubie tells his life story both, before and after, he became a follower of Christ. He traces the roller coaster ride his life has taken since stepping out in faith, and giving control of his destiny to God. He openly shares that some of the low points he's had have been because of other Christians.

    Keep the faith.

He states one should not lose faith if other people fail us. Instead, keep believing God, read the Bible, and pray for guidance. Make sure you listen to God's voice, and what He puts in your heart. He cautions that one should be very thoughtful about whom they take counsel from. Be careful if others tell you God has told them what direction you are to follow. As it says in 1 John 4:1:

"...do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world."

This is an interesting account of a contemporary man who has opened himself, along with the control of his life, to the Lord's leading. The result has been an amazing adventure with many blessings. After reading this, I have found myself wondering about additional ways I can be available for God's will to be done in my life. This 5-star book will appeal to anyone who likes true stories, or would like God to be a bigger part of their own life.
