AMP Math System Volume 1 Level 3, Student Guide
The AMP Math System is an intervention math program that is designed to help middle-school and high-school students bring their math skills up to grade level. Students will benefit from whole-class instruction, guided practice, and discussion. Lessons emphasize communication, reasoning, representation, connections, and problem solving. One core concept is taught at a time using a systematic instructional routine, and crucial problem-solving strategies such as drawing a picture, finding a pattern, making a list, making a table, and other strategies are integrated.
This Student Guide: Volume 1, Level 3 is the first of two guides (sold-separately). This consumable workbook features bright pages for students to fill out for each lesson. Four units (one with 9 lessons, the other three with 20 lessons) cover problem-solving strategies, proportionality, ratios, percentages, rational numbers and linear equations, formulas with fractions, solving linear equations, systems of linear equations, x-and-y-intercepts, and more. "Learn the Skill," "Choose a Strategy," and "Application" exercises bring students through learning about the skill and then learning how to use it in real exercises. 262 pages, softcover.
