Everybody has heard about Paul Revere's ride, but few know about 16-year-old Sybil Ludington's horseback journey to gather the troops of Putnam County, New York, during the Revolutionary War. Traveling 40 miles in the dark of night, she pounded on doors to wake the colonists---and mustered 400 soldiers to stop the British advance. Dove approved. Widescreen. Approx. 90 minutes. Bonus Features:
My family really enjoyed "Sybil Ludington". Her story is really something everyone should know about it. The movie was kid friendly and our children enjoyed it and learned a lot. Seeing Sybil's faith in the Lord as she helped her father was inspirational. The sets and costumes were very historically accurate. We recommend this movie to families looking for a great inspirational period film for the entire family!
The quality of the film looked low budget and it was mostly children playing grown up roles. It was kind of boring to me but it was not a bad film - just not for me. It's something to watch and it's kid friendly.
