      The book is right on. I found excellant insights. I'd read some on nueroplasticity after my spinal cord injury but had not found a book to tie it to the Bible. This book does, I'm thankful. It gives the added advantage of being written by a Christian. Thank you Dr. Leaf!

      I have been looking for a book sometime now to help those struggling with childhood abuse and addictions and "Switch on your Brain" is one I recommend because it gives 5 steps to renewing the mind. From page 19 to 156, Dr. Leaf teaches you the science of the brain and how it can be renewed by the power of God's Word. She also explains how God created and enabled us to change our past thinking. From pages 157 to 201, are step 1 to step 5, a plan to follow for 7 to 10 minutes a day and for 21 days on one specific thought cycle. She is very positive throughout the book. I highly recommend this book!

      It was an interesting experience to put together the commands of Philippians 4:8 with the cognitive study of neuroscientist Dr. Caroline Leaf. I knew God's command to me to think on what is good, but that command came together with the "why" when I read her study. What a challenge to live our lives to think on the positive - and for the first time put that together with why that is a good thing! God is an awesome God and He has EVERY detail planned!!!
