The sweetest things surround your little girl's life: hearts and flowers, kittens and puppies, umbrellas and tea parties, kisses and hugs. But the sweetest thing of all in her life is God's love. The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers includes eight beloved Bible stories that show how much God loves his people and your little girl. This board book includes a padded cover, perfect for reading with little ones.

PennyMindingMomAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Perfect for any little girl...January 19, 2015PennyMindingMomAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Every night my kids and I spend time reading together. We always try to read at least one bible story together before we say our bedtime prayers. At 5, shes heard the stories several times but still loves them each time she hears them.
The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers contains 4 Old Testament stories and 4 New Testaments stories that show our little ones how much God loves and protects us. The author tells the story of the Creation, Noahs Ark, Moses and Queen Esther, the Birth of Christ, Jesus and the Children, the Crucifixion and his Resurrection in a way that toddlers can understand.
Often times I find bible stories can be scary, especially the story of the Crucifixion. This is an important part of our faith and a story that the little ones hear each Easter. The author and illustrator share this story with our little ones in a way that they understand the pain and sorrow of Christ without seeing and hearing all the gruesome details. The rest of the stories are beautifully told showing the happiness and joy that Gods love can bring to each of us.
The book is targeted for toddler girls, but my 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son still enjoyed reading it with me. Its a sturdy board book perfect for little hands to flip through its pages. Each story is beautifully illustrated and the stories are simple that this will be a book that I believe my children will use as an early reader as well. I love how each story also tells which part of the bible it is from, so that you and your little one can explore it it further detail if you choose to.
The author and illustrator have taken some of our most beloved and retold them for our little ones so they learn how God will love and protect them always. This would be a wonderful gift for any little girl.

The titles of each story are as follows: A Perfect World (Creation), Safe in a Big Boat (Noah), Saving Baby Moses, Brave Queen Esther, Born in a Stable, Let the Children Come, The Saddest Day (Jesus' Death), and Alive Again! (Resurrection). Each story is told in easy to understand language. They are not told using word for word scripture. Next to each title is a scripture reference for the story. Each page has beautiful illustrations that are unique to this book and unlike others I have seen in other children's Bible story books. They are vibrant and colorful. The pink cover has a large heart and illustrated girls on it.
I would recommend this book for very young girls who love pretty books! I love the illustrations! I think that it is very important to teach children Bible stories at a young age. This book would be a perfect way to do that with these very basic stories. My 7 year old, who is learning how to read, is able to read this book with no problem. If you are looking for more accurate and detailed Bible stories, then this book is not for you.

HomeschoolMomMIAge: 25-34Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Truly a Sweet little BibleDecember 2, 2014HomeschoolMomMIAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4With three little girls underfoot sweet books that are pink are a huge hit. My 8 year old daughter was the first to notice this little hardbook Bible on the counter and took it to read to her two year old sister. The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers is a little collection of Bible stories to be read to little ones. With beautiful and gentle illustrations, this little story Bible is as sweet as they come.
The stories included are:
Children and Jesus
Jesus' Crucifixion and Resurrection and Ascension
Our favorite aspects (me and my three girls) of the book are the sweet illustrations complete with occasional animals that are interacting with the characters in somewhat fairytale way. They loved the Monkey in the Esther story pictures and the happy dog joining in while Jesus talked to the children.
I love that this book is toddler friendly with thick pages that seem to be easy to wipe off if needed. My only wish is that a page had been dedicated to Adam and Eve making a 'bad choice' so that the stories of Jesus would have more impact. I believe that even the little ones can understand consequences of bad choices- sin- and can understand what great love Jesus had for us to save us from our sins. The way the story plays out is more that Jesus made a bunch of people angry so they killed him- which is only part of the story and in my opinion his sacrifice was overlooked even in a toddler version.
All in all this is a very sweet little bible book that would make a great little addition to a baby basket or toddler toy bin. If you are looking for more accurate readings to do with your child, I would find another source.
