This book is all about second chances. I really enjoyed the main characters Noah and Josephine. They both had past scars that they needed to work through. It was such a sweet and enjoyable romance book to read.
I highly recommend this book. You will really enjoy it.

Angela BycroftOwhango, New ZealandAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5The literal perfect cosy readSeptember 5, 2017Angela BycroftOwhango, New ZealandAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Denise Hunters latest release - Sweetbriar Cottage is the perfect cosy read for those cold dark nights or snowy weekends spent wrapped in a warm blanket with a steaming cup of hot chocolate.
Noah lives alone after his divorce in a secluded cottage in the Blue Ridge Mountains in George. His ex-wife still works down in the local town as a hairdresser/barber shop. The least they have to do with each other the better as far as Noah is concerned.
So when he receives notice that his divorce didnt actually happened and he is technically still married - you can imagine what follows is ample fodder for a good novel - but this is SO much more.
Throw in a snow storm come blizzard - two people who thought they couldnt stand one another suddenly find out life may not be through with their two lives together.
I loved the two main characters literal unexpected adventure and how sometimes the events that over whelm us - do the most to shape us. It was also a super quick read based mainly on the fact that you wanted to know how our two protagonists were going to make it out in one piece and together or now.
All in all I couldnt recommend this book more - 5 stars and then some. Curl up with this one soon.

DianFlowW. Columbia, SCAge: 55-65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Powerful!September 3, 2017DianFlowW. Columbia, SCAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5In Sweetbriar Cottage, author Denise Hunter has written a powerful, heart-wrenching story of unconditional love, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Unlike some of Hunter's books, this wasn't just a feel good romance (which I am a fan of), but went a lot deeper -- so much more so than I ever expected. While I didn't care for Josie Mitchell at first, her heartbreaking confession to her handsome husband, Noah, set my emotions in a tailspin and explained the "why?" that every reader is certain to ask. How could she hurt someone as loving, charming, and giving as Noah? And is there such a thing as unconditional love in every facet of marriage? Noah and Josie's story is guaranteed to captivate you, intrigue you, and tear your heart to shreds, so keep the tissues handy! One of Denise Hunter's best yet and a novel you surely don't want to miss.
Amanda B5 Stars Out Of 5Story of Redemption and Second ChancesAugust 21, 2017Amanda BQuality: 5Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0As soon as I saw Denise Hunter's new book, I knew I'd love it. She's one of my favorite authors, and never disappoints.
A year after their divorce was supposed to have been finalized, Noah and Josephine discover they're still married. Josephine delivers paperwork to Noah's isolated ranch, and while she's there, gets snowed/iced in. After moving on with their own lives, the duo is forced to face each other, and their past/s. I enjoyed the fact that this was not a perfect couple, and that they had to work through a messy and imperfect relationship. Despite having a rough past, we see love, redemption, healing, forgiveness and second chances.

Lights in a Dark WorldGender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Another amazing read by Denise Hunter!August 18, 2017Lights in a Dark WorldGender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Noah Mitchell had moved to the mountains to a horse ranch after his divorce. His world was rocked when he received a letter from the IRS that said he and Josephine are still married. After further investigation, they realize that their divorce was never finalized. But when Josephine shows up with the papers trying to help hurry things along, and a terrible snowstorm snows them in together in the mountains, they are forced to talk about their past. Will they be able to work through the past and fall in love again? Or will their past totally destroy any feelings that were shoved down?
Another amazing book by Denise Hunter! I fell in love with Noah and Josephine, and the storyline sucked me in from the very beginning. The characters are so well-developed and have their own sets of flaws, and I found that I was just drawn into their story. I kept reading chapter after chapter and did not want to put the book down. I promise you, this book will not disappoint. If you love a good romance, you NEED to read this book!
