My 9 year old loves to read, but it is so hard to find a series for boys (most of the series books are for girls) that I don't feel I have to pre-read. Finally we stumbled on the Sugar Creek Gang. I pre-read the first 12 and then he passed me, so I let him go for it. Some of the negatives: the "gang" seems to get in quite a few physical fights with other boys, they are a bit disrespectful to their man teacher, and quite a few stories have them talking a lot about ghosts (but they always come around to a Christian viewpoint on this). Each book had a Christian message and most of the negatives get worked out by the end of the story. All in all, this has been a good series for my son. In fact, my 8 year old son has started reading them to find out who and what his older brother is talking about from the books!

my 13 year old daughter enjoys these books and i like that they have a christian message and know she is reading wholesome good and positive stories.

My nephews enjoy this type of book. I am so glad to have something to give them that teaches values and helps reading skills.

My 11 y.o. (soon to be 12) loves the Sugar Creek Gang Series. I love them because they have a biblical message in them. They are a wonderful book series for boys.

We have original hard back copies of this series which were read & enjoyed as young children. Now our grandchildren are enjoying them in your reprints.
