This set includes books 16 of the Sugar Creek Gang series: The Swamp Robber, The Killer Bear, The Winter Rescue, The Lost Campers, The Chicago Adventure, and The Secret Hideout.
The Sugar Creek Gang series chronicles the faith-building adventures of a group of fun-loving, courageous Christian boys. These classic stories have been inspiring children to grow in their faith for more than five decades. More than three million copies later, children continue to grow up relating to members of the gang as they struggle with the application of their Christian faith to the adventure of life.
In The Swamp Robber, the Sugar Creek Gang discovers a "disguise" hidden in an old tree and learns a lesson about sowing and reaping.
In The Killer Bear, the Gang learns to apply the lesson of forgiving seventy times seven in the face of great danger.
In The Winter Rescue, the Gang receives a startling surprise and discovers the power of prayer.
In The Lost Campers, have some startling encounters in the forest and experience the meaning of being saved, both physically and spiritually.
In The Chicago Adventure, the Sugar Creek Gang enjoys an action-packed trip to Chicago and learn again that the only way to heaven is through Jesus.
In The Secret Hideout, Poetry's pet lamb provides a helpful explanation of Jesus' parable of the lost sheep.

libbydaddy5 Stars Out Of 5Sugar Creek Gang 6 packOctober 3, 2014libbydaddyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Wonderful to be brought back to these tales. Updated and with bias seemingly removed, they are sound doctrinally and good for young boys to read for entertainment. They are NOT a replacement for sound parental teaching of our Lords Words and Instructions.
Q: How many pages per book?
"The Swamp Robber" 128 pages; "The Killer Bear" 88 pages; "The Winter Rescue" 112 pages; "The Lost Campers" 128 pages; "The Chicago Adventure" 109 pages; "The Secret Hideout" 108 pages.
Q: Updated for today's readers? Was very disappointed to find, on opening this product, that it said 'updated for today's readers'. What does this mean??
The Updates were done by the authorâs daughter. When it says "updated for today's reader" it means the language has been modernized for todayâs readers.
Q: Would this series work if I'm looking for a chapter book to read to my 5 year old son?
This item is recommended for children 8-11, but it would be possible to read the book to your child a chapter at a time. It appears that the chapters are roughly 5 pages in length, so the child's attention span will not be challenged.
Q: what is the reading level for the boys series of swamp kids? where if at all is the reading level information so I can buy the appropriate books for my grandson?
These books are recommended for ages 8 to 12.
