I found Think, Learn, Succeed fascinating. The science was presented in ways I understood. And I could see how the tools Dr. Leaf presents in the book can be effective when used over time. Dr. Leaf presents the idea that we can choose a mindset that extends our abilities, and because we have chosen to move beyond the normal limits we place on ourselves, our lives actually become more fulfilled.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. This review is my own, honest opinion.

As a psychology major I've spent a lot of time learning about the brain and how the mind works. Dr. Leaf has given me an even better view of the workings of the mind and how one's mindset has a lot to do with your level of success. What I loved most was the chapter on the gift profile. It really confirmed some things I've already known. This book is a great read for those wanting to understand how their mindset can help them succeed at life.

"Think, Learn, Succeed" is a good read and challenge to think thoughts that can change your performance and how you view yourself. Around 250 pages, the book first addresses the many mindsets that we can have and further develop (thinker, forgiveness, happiness, time, support, healthy, and others) and how each mindset can benefit our thinking, brain, and body.

Next, the title goes into different kinds of gift profiles and help you better understand how you function and relate to others. The last two sections are more technical and describe learning, science of memory, and other areas. The book is a helpful read and can be very beneficial in helping you function more capably. The publisher is a Christian publisher and believers will find this title to help them understand how complex they are as God's creation and how we can better serve Him and others.

Will read this title again in the future. I was given a review copy by Baker Books in exchange for a fair review.

Think Learn Succeed : Understanding and Using Your Mind to Thrive at School, the Workplace, and in Life by Dr. Caroline Leaf was a very interesting and timely read for me. I am starting work on my graduate degree next week and thought that this book provided a lot of information and tips that will be helpful for me to implement in my studies.

The first section of the book contains the mindset guide which is broken up into 16 easy to use and understand sections. My favorite part about these sections is the list of questions that is provided to better make use of the information.

The second part of the book contains a quiz so that we can better understand the way in which we think. This part also has helpful ideas on how to increase different areas of the brain. For example, if you would like to increase your musical thinking then you could play classical music in the background. Most of these tips seem to be simple things that will be easy to implement.

The third part of the book discusses the learning process and the different ways in which we take in information. This section also includes tips on how to best apply the information so that we can use our brains to the best of their ability.

The final section gets deeper into the scientific side of thinking. A bit of this area of the book felt a little overwhelming but it was still interesting information to know.

I look forward to trying out some of the tips in this book and seeing if I can alter my mindset to be more efficient. I really enjoyed this book and recommend to anyone that would like to work towards reaching their full potential.

I received a copy of this book from Baker Books in exchange for my honest review.
