The Attack Math series from Educators Publishing Service teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication and division through three books (each sold-separately). Book 1 teaches basic facts and asks students to draw pictures to find answers and solve application-story problems. Books 2 and 3 teach multi-digit computation with whole numbers, using a flagpole to feature the sequence of steps to be followed for each new procedure. All books in the series contain practice pages and application-story problems along with a Checkpoint and Testpoint to monitor progress at the middle and end of each book.
Attack Math, Subtraction 1: Basic Facts begins with a model for subtraction. Students learn to subtract using pictures of buttons where they "cross out" (subtract) a certain number. They then use these numbers to write a number sentence. By the end of the book subtraction drills are given.
48 non-reproducible pages, softcover; consumable workbook. Grades 1-6.
