While each can be read as a standalone book, reading them in order helps as the characters are tied together from Buried and ending with Submerged.
In Submerged, readers will encounter two brokenhearted individuals, one is a dentist named Cobie McBride and the other is Adam Warren who Cobie blames for her brothers death. The cove is the last place Cobie wants to go, but is hoping for some closure after losing her brother when he went in the cave. While there, she is attacked and almost loses her life. As she runs, trying to find a place to lose her pursuer, she comes to the edge of a cliff. Cobie hears the attacker gaining ground, looks at the water and Okay youll have to read the book to see what Cobie does as well as find out why her life is now in constant danger. Adam refuses to leave her side and vows to protect her, but can he really keep her safe or alive? I loved the tension in the book, both within the two main characters and what sparks of romance might be reigniting. There is lots of adventure, drama, mystery and faith woven in the novel to keep the readers attention from start to finish.
I hope you will enjoy the novels of the Mountain Cove series and share them with family and friends!
LalaAge: 18-24Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5My Favorite One Yet!October 13, 2015LalaAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This was by far my favorite novel in Elizabeth Goddard's Mountain Cove series! I have enjoyed her writing throughout the series, but she outdid herself on this one!
I very much enjoyed the story line and loved hearing more of Adam's story. He hasn't been one of my favorite Warren siblings, but he is now a close second to Cade.
Its hard to say what exactly was my favorite part of SUBMERGED, but I think it was the romance and mystery of the gold. The romance was subtle, but was powerful in the message of forgiveness that was woven within it. It was wonderful seeing both the characters reconcile and truly be able to love one another as they desired all along. The mystery of gold was epic! I liked how the author made a twist of events concerning Cobie's father and what he had found/was looking for.
Overall, this is an excellent, fast paced suspense read. Highly recommend it to fans of suspense!
*(I received this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts expressed are my own and I was not required to write a positive review.)*

It also keeps you turning the pages from then on! I found myself saying, "What more can happen to poor Cobie (the main character)?" She goes through so many terrifying things, but as a reader, that just makes a book great! I really had a hard time putting this book down and found myself reading it in 2 days. Cobie didn't have a very good relationship with her father, who was an archaeologist and was never around when she was growing up but he's been missing for several months and she has his journal so she decides to go to the last place he was, to try to find answers - a cave on an island in Alaska. She doesn't count on being attacked by a masked assailant and then finding her dead father in the cave! While she's running for her life, she jumps off a cliff in the ocean and who should save her but the one man she didn't really want to see again....Adam, who she blames for her brother's death! In this book there is a treasure ship, secrets, a bomb and danger at every turn! Cobie and Adam are trying to stay one step ahead of whoever is trying to kill Cobie....but WHY are they trying to kill her??? Read the book and find out!!!
LindaAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Another Hit!October 3, 2015LindaAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Cobie MacBride has been estranged from her archeologist father for years when she receives word that he has disappeared. His last act was to arrange for her to receive his personal journal. Hoping to get some closure on his disappearance, she arranges to explore the cave that is the last place he mentions in the journal. Upon her arrival, she is attacked and barely escapes. Upon her escape, she runs into Adam Warren, an old acquaintance and friend of her deceased brother. This is the beginning of non-stop action in this latest addition of the Mountain Cove series by Elizabeth Goddard. I was continually kept guessing about who was the bad guy and why was Cobie targeted. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes action and adventure. I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Exciting, Romantic Adventure!October 3, 2015Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Submerged is an exciting, romantic adventure and a great addition to the Mountain Cove series. It can be read as a stand alone book, as well, if you havent read the other books in the series.
The story immediately dives into action, and Cobie finds herself fighting for her life. Strange events and the need to learn what really happened to her father, lead Cobie on a dangerous and disturbing search for clues.
One of the things that I really enjoyed about this book is that Cobie is thrown together with a man she hoped never to have to see again, Adam. These two have a painful event from the past that hasnt really been forgiven. This adds some good tension between the two. But, even better, there is romantic tension, as well. The possibility of a relationship between the two ended years agoor did it?
I really enjoyed Submerged, and have enjoyed the entire Mountain Cove series. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
