Each chapter includes a purpose statement, the printed Bible passage, a core verse, a modern situation that the Bible passage can help resolve, formative guidance on the modern situation presented by the text, questions for personal reflection, and a closing prayer.

BRADY WHITEHEAD is a professor of religion and former chaplain at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee. Brady has an undergraduate degree from Rhodes College, two master's degrees from Emory University, and a doctorate from Boston University School of Theology. He authored Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther for the Basic Bible Commentary series, has written for Adult Bible Studies, and made his latest contribuiton to the Bible Reader Series with God's Care for Us: A Study of Ezekial.
