Damita Jo5 Stars Out Of 5Son Love's it!October 22, 2015Damita JoQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Makes learning to write fun. I have always used HWOT. I like how detailed it is. It's not to much work for my 5 yo, just enough and he likes to color the pictures in it to. I have never used the Teachers Books. I understand it has a few extra tips. I just have him write on the chalk board for extra practice. A page a day and using the chalk board is working great for him.
great book5 Stars Out Of 5great bookOctober 23, 2014great bookQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Got the student workbook (no teacher book) for my K son. He likes it a lot more than another writing book we used. It doesn't provide much practice, but that is why I got blank pages as well. I like HWOT so far, and will keep using it with my son and my other kids as they age. I have heard the teacher book has helpful tips and ideas for extra activities. But i have been fine without it.
prayingmamaof34 Stars Out Of 5Very thoroughOctober 3, 2014prayingmamaof3Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I bought this for my 3 and 5 yo. I like this but it had a lot to read through and a lot of it was unnecessary for us. However, it still works and makes learning fun for the kids. I agree with other reviewers that it wasn't a lot of work for the kids.

My daughter likes to teach herself things. She found this to her liking as the page shows how to form each letter. I used it also for my 8 yo son who did cursive first and we had to go back and teach him manuscript. He liked that it was just enough practice. It was not an overwhelming amount to write each day.
