This resource is one of the best things out there to help further ones understanding of the KJV Bible. Look up a key word in the Concordance and you will find all verses within the KJV listed containing the key word of interest. Next to the reference is the dictionary number that contains the original Aramaic, Hebrew, or Greek defifinition within the back.

One thing I did notice was that within the Appendix of Articles, Conjunctions, Prepositions, etc... it does not contain a number leading to its dictionary. I tried to define the word (was) in Hebrew. Unfortunately I had to look up the number using another resource. I did find the definition of the word in this Strong's, but my copy did not direct me to its definition. It was strange.

This book is self referencing. It contains its own dictionary. As far as I can tell it is a 2fer. I dont think one has to buy a seperate Strong's dictionary. It does reference at least 2 other dictionaries. Thus you will see the citation for TWOT and others. However, I do not see the need for these other resources as of yet.

Even if one doesn't want a dictionary yet, the concordance itself is priceless. Before purchasing this book I was concerned that it was not as vast as I was hoping. Upon receipt I understood my concerns to be unfounded. This was much more than I needed, wanted, and wished.

It also contains a few extra helps in the back. I.e. weights and measurements, Topical Index, and other study Bible like resources.

This is a beast of a book. I think if you look up the word Behemoth it also says this Strong's dictionary, ha ha. That is meant for a joke. I will not appreciate traveling with this book, but for its knowledge I can carry on.

I don't fully understand the 1-star reviews-here's why. I'm your average Jo' Christ-follower who loves studying her Bible. And I LOVE dissecting the Word!! So before I buy ANY concordance, I first check to see to which translation it is referring. After my purchase, THEN I make a fair review. Secondly, although I am a big fan of referring to several translations for clarification, I've noticed that some translations such as NIV and NLT omit several scriptures! Yes I said OMIT! Therefore, you would not get the intended Hebraic/Aramaic or Greek meaning if the scripture is missing! Go figure! This is why I don't fully understand those who is stuck on one particular translation of the Bible. My springboard translation remains the KJV, but I have several other translations to cross-reference. I HIGHLY recommend Strong's Concordance for this very reason; although, like others, I wouldn't mind seeing other translated concordances for the sake of exhausting translation of that word as much as possible. As for you NIV lovers, I recommend the Henry Baker's Commentary of the Bible for you. I have this one and it helps me tremendously!

Been awhile since I have had a new Strong's, and I have to say, this one is awesome! Its big, its nice, and it has a lot of stuff in it. One thing that I really like is that the Words of Christ are in red - nice feature! It also has a Hebrew & Aramaic Dictionary for the Old Testament, and a Greek Dictionary for the New Testament - all keyed to the Strong's numbering system! This book is amazing, and to tell you all that is in it would be just rehashing on what is already listed in the description. Seeing all the stuff for yourself in person though, really does make it all the more better. There is enough stuff in this book to keep you involved for years and years. If your serious about studying, then this is one reference tool you should not be without - period!

our Church gave this to high school graduates and they found it to be packed full of information that they will use from now on. They will take this to college and into the armywith them. These graduates said no matter where they go this will go go with them to help in their walk with the Lord as they grow closer to Him!
