Creative2xmomCaliforniaAge: 25-34Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5An Insightful ReminderMarch 15, 2018Creative2xmomCaliforniaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5In Stronger than the Struggle, Havilah Cunnington takes her readers through a strategic battle plan for everyday battles, whether with ourselves or spiritual forces. Cunnington addresses such issues as:
If I'm already following the Lord, why am I still fighting?
Is the battle internal or spiritual?
What does the Bible say about spiritual battles?
Do I have any spiritual authority?
Rather than stirring fear, Cunnington seeks to awaken spiritual authority and boldness. While the basis of the book is spiritual warfare, she mentions several times that it's about living in the assurance and authority of the Lord.
While many of the principles set forth in this book are tried and true, Havilah Cunnington speaks in a fresh voice to remind many of us of our God-given power. She reminds us that there's more to life than living in fear and that it doesn't take those in ministry to wage the battle. Having been a Christian for many years, I still found this to be an awakening perspective and well worth the read. Although I've already finished the book, I plan to reread in the near future. It was just that refreshing.

AmyL5 Stars Out Of 5Stronger Than the StruggleFebruary 21, 2018AmyLQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I loved sitting down and reading Havilah Cunnington's new book,Stronger Than The Struggle. The pages of this book hold a roadmap to the basics of understanding spiritual warfare. Cunnington's approach inStronger Than the Struggle is to help uncomplicate spiritual warfare so that we can all enter into the journey God has placed before us.
With a right view of Satan and a right view of what scripture says about warfare, Cunnington helps the reader understand the importance of not ignoring the battle going on around us. Through these pages, I felt seen. I felt like Cunnington knew the basics of where people were coming from in this struggle. But I also felt compelled to move forward. To move into something new and different.
ReadingStronger Than the Struggle made me want to get back in the fight. To fill my mind with scripture and to know more of who God is. I felt invited back into the fight.
I was reminded when readingDreaming With God,that it is important to simplify my life so that I can chase the dream in my heart. WithStronger Than the Struggle,I was also reminded to simplify my life. When overwhelm hits, and the battle feels impossible, it's necessary to go back to the basics of faith. To remember that God is for my good. And that he is always doing good.
That's where the fight begins for me.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. This review is my own, honest opinion.
