David Smith5 Stars Out Of 5Leadership it has to do with your soul!October 4, 2016David SmithQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Many leadership books tell you how and what and why and when and where. But leadership has something to do with what is going on inside you. What is your soul saying to you? And what is God saying to you as a leader to your soul?
Leadership rises or falls depending on your soul. Leaders rise and fall depending on their ability, or lack thereof, in tending to the needs and nurture of the inner life of their soul.
How it is with your soul? How can you lead from the inner place where you consistently encounter God? Where is Gods Spirit at work within you stirring up deep questions and longings to draw you deeper into intimacy with God and broader into effective service with others?
Using Moses as a model to follow, Ruth Haley Barton serves as a travel guide to the leadership landscape of your soul.

The book caused me to take a closer look at myself and to face some deep issues. I believe many people have similar problems in their life, but if they only live life on the surface they are missing a deeper spiritual healing and growth opportunity. This is great for leaders in the Church who struggle with their leadership.
My only complaint is that the CBD Reader is not that user friendly and could use improvement. Because of that I am hesitant to order more eBooks from Christianbook.com

Jim Branch5 Stars Out Of 5September 5, 2008Jim BranchA great book that speaks both powerfully and accurately to the inner dynamics and demands of the life of ministry. It is not only challenging in the area of naming and moving away from our addictive patterns, but also both helpful and hopeful in leading us toward true transformation.
