Series: The Story
The Story group Bible study provides groups of all sizes the opportunity to discuss and apply what they experience during the 31-week The Story church campaign.
To understand the Bible, says Frazee, you need bifocal lenses, because two perspectives are involved. The Lower Story, our story, is actually many stories of men and women interacting with God in the daily course of life.
The Upper Story is Gods story, the tale of his great, overarching purpose that puts the individual stories together like panels in one unified mural.
In 31 sessions, The Story video-based group study opens your eyes to Gods master plan unfolding in the lives of the Bibles characters and in your own life.
Discover the heart of Gods Upper Story, and the joy that comes as you align your story with Gods. The Story Study Guide and DVD (sold separately) are designed for use by groups of all sizes, including small groups and Sunday school and adult education classes.
Designed for use with The Story Adult Curriculum Study DVD (9780310329527) sold separately.
Randy Frazee is the lead teaching pastor at Westside Family Church, a multisite church in Kansas City. A leader and innovator in spiritual formation and biblical community, Randy is the architect of The Story and BELIEVE church engagement campaigns. He is also the author of What Happens After You Die; Think, Act, Be Like Jesus; The Heart of the Story; The Connecting Church 2.0; and The Christian Life Profile Assessment. He and his wife, Rozanne, live in Kansas City.
Tom is one of the founders of the Neighborhood Collective and the Minister of Community Life at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, where he serves on the senior staff with Max Lucado and Randy Frazee. As a church planter and founding pastor in Indianapolis, Tom transitioned his church to a neighborhood model back in 2000. In 2007, he went to Pantego Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas, where The Connecting Church model was first implemented. In 2009, Tom moved to The Ascent Church in Monument, Colorado, to serve as their Executive Pastor and was the chief architect for their transition to a neighborhood model. In 2013, Tom oversaw a church merger which positioned The Ascent Church as a multi-site church pursuing a neighborhood model. In 2014, Tom came to San Antonio to join the senior staff at Oak Hills Church. Oak Hills opened her 7th campus in 2015, and currently has over 10,000 people in weekend attendance.
Toms work in neighborhood in a small church plant, in the original Connecting Church, in a church merger environment, and in a gigachurch gives him a unique perspective on how to lead and transition a church in a neighborhood model. He is currently working on his first book related to neighboring and plans to release it in 2016.
Tom has been married since 1991, and he is the proud father to eight children!
