Using on my family of a 2 year old, 4,6, and 11. Everyone gets to discuss the questions. My two year old plays with lacing cards or clothespins a paper plate during devotional time. I'm amazed how much she picks up just through listening to us. Great for the whole family and we all look forward to it!

Our church began the new school year with the program that goes with this book. We've bought A Long Story Short to supplement what our kids' Sunday school classes are teaching them each week.

We use this with our youngest three, ages 5, 3, and 2. It does seem to go over the head of our youngest, but the other two are getting quite a bit out of it. Since this is going to be used on a four year cycle (two years in the OT, two in the NT), as time goes on they'll get more and more out of it, and will have a solid foundation of the bible when they hit middle school, having gone through both books twice. It seems expensive at first, but when you consider all of the use we'll be getting out of it, it is absolutely reasonable.

I love how it points to the Christ in each story! This gives more than just the history of the Bible, but what it really all means as well!

The Bible study does what all should- show the Bible as a cohesive unit all pointing to Christ. The New Testament interprets the Old, not vice-versa.

Love that it walks through so many passages of scripture and is easy to understand for my 5 year old. Definitely recommended!

I'm glad I ordered 2 of these (one for myself, and one for my sister) and I might even order more for friends! We are new to doing a family devotional, and was a little worried how this new tradition would be received by my kids and husband. We did our first devotional after we ate dinner, and it couldn't have gone smoother. The content and questions kept my kids talking and they had such great input and ideas! After we were done with the first one, my kids begged me to do another one, and the next day they both said they couldn't wait for devotional time!

Using this to begin each day of homeschool w/my children. Generating good discussion and focusing them on how Christ is seen throughout scripture.
