Pamela Gessler5 Stars Out Of 5June 1, 2009Pamela GesslerCorrie Ten Boom is best known for "The Hiding Place", the story of her family as they hid Jews from the occupying regime in 1940's Holland. Miss Ten Boom has written many books, all of them very encouraging to those who want to know God better. This book, Tramp for the Lord, picks up after "The Hiding Place", when most of her loved ones were gone to be with the Lord. Having no reason to go home again, Corrie told God she would travel the world to bring the message she and Betsy had found in the concentration camp: "There is no pit so deep that Jesus is not deeper still." They took hope from Deuteronomy 33:27: "The eternal God is a dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Beginning at age 53, until a stroke silenced her voice at 86, Corrie Ten Boom always asked God where she should go next. The Holy Spirit spoke to her heart each time and showed her the way to go, often doing miracles in the process. This book will encourage you to trust God, and will help you to walk in the Holy Spirit. Corrie wasn't perfect, but she was willing to obey and listen to Jesus. You can hear Him too.
