My boys (6 & 8) and I loved the stories in this book which also upheld godly values and character traits. They were great for inspiring conversation about each of the characters traits. They would always ask me to read more.
It is set in the 1950's/60's but we didn't mind that at all. It was still relevant.
I AM ENJOYING READING THESE STORIES IN PREPARATION FOR TEACHING MY GRANDCHILDREN! I HAVE BEEN TAUGHT AS WELL! A MUST HAVE FOR ANY ONE WORKING WITH CHILDREN~ DAY CARES, SUNDAY SCHOOLS! BEDTIME READING! VERY PRACTICAL LESSONS & EASY TO UNDERSTAND GOD'S LIFE PRINCIPLES AT A CHILDS LEVEL. I LOVE THE FACT THAT THE TABLE OF CONTENTS LETS YOU KNOW THE LESSON SO YOU CAN QUICKLY FIND JUST THE ONE FOR THE MOMENT....I WILL BE PURCHASING MORE FOR SHARING!
My older children 4 & 6 can't get enough of these stories. They beg for me to keep reading and are terribly dissappointed when I stop. They don't quite get the idea that the "sting of the bee" is not a real bee sting but that's not emphasized heavily so it's not a big deal. They are getting the "meat" of the stories and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase or the price.
I could not love these stories more. My kids ask everyday if we can read more "Bee" stories. Kids learn a great deal through stories, and these are a wonderful catalyst for moral training. It is hard to find books like these anymore. 5 stars!
