A Collection of Stories about a Nativity Set: While Shepherds Watch Are Keeping: Set in Massachusetts in 1899, Pastor Seth Shepherd loves is poor small town but his parents are pushing for his return to a prestigious New York church. I loved Jessalyn Grant who is visiting her uncle for Christmas after being pushed out by her father and his new young wife. Young Paulie Mack adds humor to the story as does Ora Cole, a lady in her sixties whose father called her Squirrel Girl and who still wants to perform church roof repairs! A broken nativity set brings about forgiveness but there is always the hand carved nativity.

The Wise Guy and the Star: 1919. Stella Shepherd and her businesswoman Aunt Lila embark on an interesting trip by rail from Charleston, North Carolina to Kansas City, Missouri. You will love the three Wise brothers who have returned from the war and needing work and how Nat passes time by whittling three wise men!

On Angel Wings: Missouri 1945. I loved Elodie Wise who is a nurse and was a prisoner of war. Benjamin is a true war hero. Hollywood star, Clyde Irving will not be someone you admire! Ben carried Elodie's picture with him all through the war but she has always considered him her best buddy. An angel is added to the nativity.

Making Room at the Inn: Modern Day. I admired Benjie Gabriel who is seeking a position as a chef at a bed and breakfast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri against her mother's wishes! Benjie always loved her grandparents' hand carved nativity set and regrets that her aunt sold it in an estate sale. Surprising things are found in the attic of the B&B where Benjie finds employment.

It was great to follow the nativity set though the years. I recommend this sweet Christmas book to others. I received a complimentary e-book through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

This is a delightful book of 4 novellas that covers 4 generations. The tie that binds them all is centered around a nativity set that is passed through the generations and how the set grows with each generation.

Some of the stories were rather slow-moving, but still enjoyable once you got further into the novella. It is a book you will want to read during the holiday season and pass on to your friends.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

I loved the way these stories were written right from the beginning. The nativity set being passed to each generation was a wonderful idea. I even thought about I need to do this. I would have to buy a special one that no one would need to make more pieces to it. It would be special for sure. Each book brought in the nativity set and even some of the characters identified with the characters in the set. How neat is that? I guess I really identified with Pastor Shepherd because I am a pastors daughter and a pastors mother-in-law. We had with my Dad and now have with my SIL a small church like Pastor Shepherd. I knew exactly how he felt when funds get low.

Each story had its purpose and its own spiritual inspiration. I loved each character and how the authors described their personalities so well. It really makes you feel close to them. I had read books by two of the authors before but now I have two more authors that I can enjoy. If you like to read Christmas novellas I think you would enjoy these.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley but was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Wow. Love's Pure Light is yet another incredible novella collection from Barbour Publishing! This was my first time reading anything by several of these authors, and I've clearly been missing out. I'll be looking for more of their novels in the near future.

Love's Pure Light tells the beautiful tale of a family throughout four generations, from 1899 to contemporary times, with the story of their family nativity set beautifully woven in. From pastors and rich heiresses to chefs and business owners, this book hooked me immediately and was impossible to put down. I especially enjoyed the first two novellas, While Shepherds Watch and The Wise Guy, but On Angels Wings and Making Room at the Inn were both fantastic as well.

If you enjoy sweet Christmas romances, you won't want to miss out on Love's Pure Light!

*I received a complimentary copy of Love's Pure Light through the publisher and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. My positive review is not required.

Loves Pure Light is a collection of four Christmas novellas that follow a nativity set through several generations. This is a wonderful collection of stories that show the importance of family and family traditions that are handed down through many generations. I enjoyed reading this story and seeing how the nativity set started out with just a few beautifully made pieces and grew through time. This is a great book to get lost in to help prepare our heart for the upcoming Christmas season, as well as to help remind the reader of the real reason for Christmas. Each of the stories are short enough to read in just an evening and contain friendships that grow. Each of the stories also contain good messages. I received a copy of this e-book from the publisher through NetGalley, this is my honest review.
