Publisher's Description

Kirk Cameron is best known for his role as lovable teenage troublemaker Mike Seaver on the award-winning TV series Growing Pains, but his rise to fame and fortune is only part of his incredible story. In this intimate autobiography, Kirk opens up about his early years, his rocket to stardom, his life-changing encounter with Jesus, and the hard choices he's made along the way to live in the Way of the Master. Fans will get an up-close and personal look at what drives the former teen-magazine heartthrob and find out how God and family became the secrets behind his celebrated smile. In his own words, Kirk shares how he's still growing--even through the triumphs and temptations of his Hollywood career.

Awesome book, rather emotional towards the end. Very very funny, especially stories about Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, "lip gloss" and many others.

Up front, I am not a biography reader, but my book club wanted to read it and when I finally got into it I was hooked. What found was a well written, fascinating account of how God got a hold a a up and coming Hollywood star and how that encounter has changed his life. This should be an encouragement to all Christians that God pursues all people even those in the Hollywood life style.

Most people would hesitate to let the world see into some of out deepest places, but I give a big thumbs up the Kirk Cameron who shows the world the real person, good, bad and ugly.

If you pass this book up because you still think of Mr. Cameron as the teen heartthrob of the 80's, please take a second look. I don't think you will be disappointed.

AN INTERESTING READ ABOUT A SUPERSTAR'S JOURNEY OF FAITH. I USED TO ENJOY WATCHING KIRK CAMERON ON TV AS A YOUNG GIRL. WORTH THE READ.
