Tell us a little about yourself. I am formerly a church pastor. I served in this capacity for over 12 years. I was a freelance Christian writer for seven years. I am currently an evangelist. My wife and I have been married for over 29 years, and we have six children.
What was your motivation behind this project? I have been a Christian for over 27 years. Through those years of walking with God, pastoring, and counseling, I have learned a lot about what it takes to live a victorious life in Christ. I wrote this book to be a resource in helping other Christians live a more victorious life in Christ.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I am hoping they will find this book to be an excellent resource for systematically arriving at a more vibrant relationship with Christ. It is biblically based and very practical. The book challenges the reader to move from mediocre Christianity to vibrancy in Christ. The discussion topics at the end make the book ideal for small study groups.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Each chapter in the book addresses a different area of Christian living (Bible study, prayer, church membership, faith, serving, etc.) As I wrote the chapters, I was challenged to look at my own life in the various areas of Christian living.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Writing is an extension of my preaching ministry. My greatest source of inspiration is the Lord Jesus Christ. My passion is to become more like Him. A great source of inspiration to me has been Billy Graham. He has modeled the highest of standards for me to follow as a minister and a Christian.
