Stepping Stones is a fresh and new approach to Bible study. Not intended for the seasoned Bible study student, this evangelistic study is the perfect resource for Bible study and small group leaders working in outreach ministry settings. The easy, step-by-step lesson plans, creative presentation ideas, application to life, and downloadable student handout resources will help you bring Scripture to life. This 20-lesson outline, with optional lessons, will help you lay the foundation that God created humanity with His purposes in mind and that each study participant is special to Him. Participants will discover how, despite sin and failure, God has made a way for all of us to be reconciled to Him. They will understand the opportunity to receive the free gift of salvation through the sacrifice God made. This study leads participants into the new life God provides through salvation, guiding participants through God's unfolding plan, one step at a time.
Rita Usher, Melanie Story, and Amanda Thornton are all actively involved in leadership roles with their local Christian Women's Job Corp® (CWJC®), a ministry associated with Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU®), an auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention. As they were creating the lessons for Stepping Stones, their first published work, the authors continually asked themselves, What does a person need to know to be saved? Their heart is to teach the gospel in such a way that all people, from various backgrounds, will be forever transformed in Christ.
