"This book will show you that your hopes and expectations are truly just the beginning of what God can do."
ED YOUNG, senior pastor, Fellowship Church
From the Trade Paperback edition.
Steven Furtick is the pastor of Elevation Church in North Carolina. Writing from his own experience, Furtick strives to ignite outrageous faith in the heart of each reader. Furtick not only writes with audacious confidence but also strives to inspire audacious faith in his readers.
Easy to understand, the book explores the power and correlation of faith and prayer. Sun Stand Still offers practical bullet points and applicable step-by-step lists.
Furticks tone can seem overly confident and ambitious. Theologically, the book skips a few steps, focusing on creating instant, passionate Christians instead of developing a relationship with God. Following the encouragement to challenge God for the impossible, Sun Stand Still is a catalyst to start exploring prayer and faith. This book is not targeted to non-Christians. Sun Stand Still dares readers to dream with faith. Estee Wells, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
laura5 Stars Out Of 5FantasticAugust 21, 2014lauraQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love the stories in the Bible about God's greatness and this is one of my favorites. Satan is so rampant in our day that we need to be reminded that when we know God's will for our lives and we need God's supernatural power to accomplish it He has infinite ways of accomplishing it. It is not another claim it book but one that truly encourages us to believe in a God that is greater in us than he that is in the world. It encouraged me to keep pressing on.

His book "Sun Stand Still" is a complete mishmash of hogwash and out-of-context bible twisting gymnastics. The story from the book of Joshua is not a pattern for prayer. With such an interpretation one could write a book about "Iron Float" (2 Kings 6:6). When the disciples came to Jesus he taught them a simple prayer that acknowledges God as sovereign and petitions God for daily bread. Avoid the book like the plague. It will one day be thrown into the ash can of theological rubbish. It's just a repackaged, man-centered, "Prayer of Jabez" rehash.
FranniWarsaw, INAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5AMAZING book!May 4, 2012FranniWarsaw, INAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5WOW! If you're considering ordering this book...JUST DO IT! Get a highlighter, a pencil and get ready to have your world rocked! This is not a fluffy, feel-good book you can read with the TV on while you're making dinner. It's incredibly thought-provoking and challenges the reader to dare to ask the impossible of our God, who literally made the sun stand still in answer to a prayer.
God is just that big! If we aren't asking Him for the impossible, we are doing ourselves a great disservice. He is big enough for anything we ask and His word says that's it's His good pleasure to give us what we ask.
Stop living in a scarcity mentality and dare to dream big and imagine the possibilities of what God has for your life. "Sun Stand Still" is your springboard for the awesome journey ahead.
