I was given a wonderful opportunity to participate in the pre-release study of Elijah: Spiritual Stamina in Every Season. I have been convicted, encouraged, chastised, enlightened, humbled, and so much more in this journey through these last few weeks. Melissa has given me new insight and perspective about Elijah and his ministry, but also in developing stamina and recognizing the different seasons we experience. I was challenged to be more disciplined and focused in my prayer life. I am amazed at how many times I noted a thought in the margin next to a comment or explanation, only to read on and find a very similar statement in the next paragraph. I felt like I was truly getting what Melissa was laying out there for us. I expect that I will revisit this study in a couple of months and see how my stamina has developed. I have set some personal training goals relating to soul care and commitment. Im trying to learn to recognize when my logic and emotions are camouflaging Gods ways and to make a conscious choice to leave my comfort zone and go where He leads.

I have done most of Melissa Spoelstra's studies and have grown in my walk with God. I decided to dig deeper into this Elijah study after we discussed him in my Sunday school class. This study is divided into relevant topics such as prayer and surrender. Prayer shows God our dependence on Him and we need to seek Him first instead of a last resort. He desires to walk with us in every season of life. I highly recommend this study.

This study has been fantastic! This author's whole theme is how to have the stamina to continue your walk with Christ everyday. The chapters have daily work and she has you tie up each day with an insight at the end of the week. Highly reccomend.
