Miriam Jacob5 Stars Out Of 5A Womans Guide to Spiritual Warfare by Quin Sherrer & Ruthanne GarlockApril 13, 2017Miriam JacobQuality: 0Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5A Womans Guide to Spiritual Warfare by Quin Sherrer & Ruthanne Garlock is an important practical handbook that helps us to understand the why and how of Spiritual Warfare, based on the Bible. It addresses crucial questions asked by everyone who needs to be delivered from attacks of the enemy. We all must know what Spiritual Warfare is, who the enemy is who started this evil war, and what weapons we are to use to fight it. How can we distinguish between the voice of God and the enemys voice? Quin and Ruthanne help us to gain precious insight, confidence and understanding to fight our own spiritual battles with courage. We are also equipped to encourage and strengthen others under attack, who are desperately trying to ward off the evil onslaughts of the enemy. Jesus Christ ensured our victory over sin and satan on the Cross. Here is new and vital Scriptural ammunition for your prayer arsenal, battle arms and weaponry to equip you to fight as a Christian soldier against the enemy of our souls. We must be trained to use Scripture as a powerful weapon to fight the devil. There are seven keys to win victory in spiritual battles against the enemy. God goes ahead of us to lead us to victory. We obey the Lord, trusting in His strategies to win the war. We do not focus on the enemys strength. We are not deterred by any lack of spiritual vision. We have perfect confidence in Gods Word. We must not compromise with the enemy. We give praise and glory to God for the victory. Success is assured when we follow Gods instructions. We get the deliverance and God gets the glory!

Deuce SkunksSpringfield, MOAge: 25-34Gender: Female3 Stars Out Of 5Practical Guide - If You're Looking To Bind The Devil And Evil CursesMarch 27, 2017Deuce SkunksSpringfield, MOAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 3The revised and updated edition of A Woman's Guide To Spiritual Warfare: How To Protect Your Home, Family And Friends From Spiritual Darkness by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne Garlock is a practical book outlining the need for Christian women to be well-versed in Scripture for the purpose of spiritual warfare against the devil and evil forces determined to undermine our relationship with God.
First, they explain what spiritual warfare is, what our armor and weapons consist of, and why it's so important that we, as women, take a stand and intercede for those we love (spouses, children, co-workers, prayer partners, etc.). Then, Quin and Ruthanne break it down and cover common expressions of spiritual warfare and examples of how to face each one. They are quick to point out that there is no one specific method that works for every situation, and you need to ask the Holy Spirit for guidance on how best to approach your specific problems.
The stories related are comforting in that they help you realize that others have been through similar problems, and that there is hope is you persevere and commit to praying to God with absolute faith in His power and strength over darkness.
While I had a hard time relating to parts of the book (I'm not the type to be able to point straight at my daughter and vocally tell Satan that she is off limits and plead the blood of Jesus in public), I did find the prayers (which can be done in private or quietly) to be helpful in dealing with negative energies. I also do not personally agree with some of the examples ofthe Devil's work presented by Quin and Ruthanne (anything considered new age, homosexuality, and generational curseswere the biggest ones), so parts of this book were a little extreme for my personal beliefs at this point in my life. That being said, I still found enough that I could relate to to consider the book helpful.
I do appreciate the prayers at the end of each chapter, and the section of topical prayers at the end of the book. For me, theyresonate better than the ones in other similar books I've read. I'm rating this book as 3/5 stars. Iwould consider it helpful towomen trying to find a way to fight back the evil or negativity that is trying to get a foothold on the lives of those they love, particularly if you are the sort that openly binds and rebukes evil spirits. If you're not so much the binding and rebuking type (quietly raising my hand here), then the prayers will still be very helpful, but there may be other books that you might have an easier time relating to.
