This book was a little hard to get into, but it didnt take very long for it to get interesting. It is very different from anything I have read. Catching on to what the author was trying to convey to his readers. It took me only 2 days to read it, as it became hard to put down. James Rubart has quite an imagination. I will have to look into more of his books. I wouldnt be as brave as Mieyo and Dana and the others. But they had to be strong and live out their faith. Not wise to let negative thoughts rule in our minds. We need to focus on the Lord for His power and experience His healing, otherwise our enemy will get the best of us. I highly recommend reading this book. Take a new style of adventure. There is so much to learn in this book regarding our walk with the Lord.
This is the 3rd and final book in the Well Springs series. Reece, Marcus, Brandon, and Dana are the Warriors Riding. The Spirit of God guides them as they enter the heavenly realms of angels and of demons.
Even in their day to day lives, they encounter angels and demons who have taken on human identities. It isnt always immediately clear which is which, as the demons are attractive and pleasant, until they are exposed.
Pride, doubt, fear, low self-esteem, unforgiveness on the part of the warriors make it easy for the enemy to gain victories in their lives. Each of them has to put on the full armor of God, speaking scripture to hold the demons at bay.
There is a showdown in an arena where angels, demons, and humans fight for their lives. It is a gripping and violent scene as the we visualize the battle between good and evil that takes place. Only one side can win.
Even though this is a work of fiction, it was very realistic. The Bible tells us :
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-17 NIV
As a result of reading this series, and especially this book, I am challenged to take Bible memorization more seriously so I am better prepared for the battle.
Had been looking forward to this book ever since I finished the last one. Great series! I can see openings where he could continue writing about these characters. I hope he will. I like the way he uses these characters to visualise the spiritual warfare we all go through, whether we realise it or not. The power of prayer and how we view our world is really brought to the fore. The struggle of settling for something good, (world view), as for reaching for what is best, (biblical view), gives the reader tools to analize their own world view. Looking forward to more books from Rubart!!!
I reviewed both Soul's Gate and Memory's Door in this same series, and my review here for Spirit Bridge is much the same. I loved it. As with most book series, the first book, Soul's Gate, was my favorite. While Memory's Door and Spirit Bridge didn't rock me the way Soul's Gate did, they were both excellent.
In this book, the Warriors Riding continue their journey of traveling into the supernatural realms to set people free and fight the enemy from the inside out. Two new characters join in the fight, but the Warriors first have to decide if they are truly on their side.
As with the first two books in the series, I gained new perspective about the spirit realm and what the battle of the unseen looks like. I would recommend this book, but only after the first two books have been read.
I received this book from BookLook Bloggers in return for my honest opinion.
