My fourth grader likes using this book. That's her favorite subject so it's her go-to extra practice book. I haven't looked at all the contents so I can't give a thorough review just yet. But so far, I haven't heard any complaints, neither any rave reviews.

It's an okay curriculum. It just dives right in and doesn't explain well what each step or process is. I am going to stick with Easy Writing. We used it this year for our older kids and I will use it next year for the ones using Spectrum right now. I do not recommend Spectrum Writing.

This book is excellent for introducing or reinforcing the main concepts for writing. The directions and examples are clear and written for a wide range of abilities within the fifth grade classroom.

Finally, the kids got a great handle on writing! Who knew a workbook could do so much. We are very pleased!
