This is a great book to understand some of the most important theological differences in Evangelical theology. It is concise and fair; it gives pros and cons and gives a brief bibliography for deeper study.
Outstanding book - Written in a very accessible language, this book does an outstanding job of taking complex or difficult areas of doctrine; presenting the issues and different approaches regarding the various viewpoints surrounding a particular doctrine. This book strikes a good balance for each viewpoint of a doctrine, using ample, suitable, scripture references to show biblical support for each side of an argument. I enjoy that each argument argues for its own viewpoint, however the overall tenor is unbiased towards each topic - allowing the reader to decide for themselves. A must read for both new and seasoned believers, pastors, and small group leaders.
The book I was looking for. There are so many different views-I always wanted a book that listed the different views. This is that book. It list View A and the Scripture used to support it, and then list View B and the Scripture they use to support it. It is then up to you to study the scripture, and with Gods guidance decide which view you hold. Excellent!!!
