A great daily devotional that would take as little or as long as you would like to read--includes Scripture reference to read, a few paragraphs to read, and a prayer. Little nuggets that pack powerful truths. A beautiful book for anyone!

I have heard Joni Eareckson Tada's story and was looking forward to reading this devotional. I had quite a few books started when I added this one to the mix. I looked forward to reading a short devotion every day. Some days I read more than one! The devotions were not that long, they were a perfect length and easy to keep up with. I enjoyed how each one ended with a little prayer as well. I enjoyed reading through this and plan on starting over again.

A Spectacle of Glory by Joni Eareckson Tada with Larry Libby is a beautiful and thought-provoking daily devotional. Short, gripping anecdotes that appeal to a broad audience accompany a suggested Scripture reading and a prayer that can be used as a springboard to a more fulfilling prayer life.

Ive only read a sampling of the material at the writing of this review, but I look forward to using this devotional in my quiet time throughout this year and for many years to come. This is a beautiful, peaceful work that has helped me to quiet my mind and stop to consider what is truly important, thereby reducing the stress and anxiety that has become my normal over the last few years.

I was blown away by this book, given to me by a fellow Christian. I read it daily. Joni's insights, knowledge of Scripture and her amazing compassion and relatability is wonderful and amazing. What a godly example she sets for her readers, especially those struggling physically. I'm so grateful to have been given this spiritual gem and am going to order more as Christmas gifts.

I don't actually use this as a daily devotional although it's laid out for that. Often when I'm feeling discouraged I turn to this book and read a few entries and it never fails to lift my spirit and encourage me to keep up the faith. It's a gold mine of short bursts of powerful truths written from the perspective of someone who has learned these truths through personal experience. Joni writes from the perspective of someone who has learned endurance and patience unto godliness through suffering, submission and faith. Thanks Joni! God bless you!!
