I had quite a few books started when I added this one to the mix. I looked forward to reading a short devotion every day. Some days I read more than one! The devotions were not that long, they were a perfect length and easy to keep up with. I enjoyed how each one ended with a little prayer as well. I enjoyed reading through this and plan on starting over again.

Everyday without fail she would write about what she did, the weather and any special event. While she was alive she would allow us to read it, but after her passing reading it revives that special connection we always had. A Spectacle of Glory is a bit like reading my Grandmothers diary, creating a special connection with the author.
A Spectacle of Glory: Gods Light Shining Through Me Every Day by Joni Eareckson Tada is a daily devotional that will help you glorify God every day. Jonis life hasnt been easy, living 50 years as a quadriplegic, and dealing with chronic pain, Joni has learned the importance of glorifying God through the good times and the bad. This devotional will help you discover Gods love and greatness in your life and how to showcase His glory to everyone around out.
A Spectacle of Glory: Gods Light Shining Through Me Every Day is a charming daily devotional filled with uplifting stories that cover many of the situations that make up life on earth. Jonis love and faith in God shine through each devotion. Its a bit like reading her personal diary. As I read through many of the devotions there were times that I felt like she was speaking directly to me, offering encouragement and insight into Gods word while she shares many of her personal experiences.
Each devotion is set up much the same way. It starts with the Date, followed by a scripture reference. I would recommend keeping your Bible handy so that you can look up the referenced scripture. Then Jonis thoughts. She shares words of thanks and praise to God, questions and word of acceptance and words of Love to our heavenly Father.
At the bottom of each page is a prayer. This is a great addition for any believer in Christ. Sometimes starting a prayer is the hardest part. When you cant find the words, this helps you start and you will find that the words just keep coming.
A Spectacle of Glory: Gods Light Shining Through Me Every Day is a great daily devotional that will help you showcase Gods glory every day in every way.
