LaSheryl Davis steps into transparency with her story, sharing her long time battle as a domestic abuse victim. This is the life she lived, the things she heard, the way she talked, the way she saw herself and those around her, the good, the bad, the pretty, the ugly and in the end the love that changed it all when she found Christ as her source of strength for healing and forgiveness.

Tell us a little about yourself. I like to encourage & celebrate others. I enjoy writing as a form of release. I am a mother of 1 son & the grandmother of 2 active baby boys. I love spending time with my family.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation behind this project was & still is freedom. Learning about freedom, knowing it's available to you & walking in it is powerful. It was past time to break from the bondage holding me in. It was also an opportunity to show my son that your past doesn't have to dictate your present or future. For years my son has been my Motivation, when I didn't feel I was enough. Also I wanted to encourage others.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope others gain the knowledge about freedom in Christ so that they too can enjoy the pleasures of it. I want people to believe that you are not your situation. Things may have happened to you but you can live again, you can laugh again, you are loveable. If you've done things you're not proud of you too can repent & begin to walk in freedom.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I'm still learning the impact this project had on me. It opened my eyes & heart to so much. The immediate impact it had on me was the joy & the peace of releasing things brought me.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? The people who influence me are my sister & brother nlaw Ministers Patrice & Ray Tate III. The people who inspire me are my family members, my parents David & Betty, my sisters Sherhonda & Patrice, my brother nlaw Ray, my son, nephews & nieces.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I would also like to share that this book is the manifestation of the love, teaching, correction, hugs, forgiveness & so much more from Apostle Glenda Gleaves Sutton at Family Affair Ministries. Apostle Glenda, along with her husband Dair, are walking out a ministry that touches hurting people like myself. Family Affair Ministries as a body has inspired, influenced & encouraged me throughout my journey. I am truly grateful that I get to walk with an amazing family of people.
