Lauraine Snelling in her new book, Someday Home published by Faithwords begins the adventure with Lynn Lundberg.

From the back cover: A heartwarming story that celebrates how life-changing friendships can be found in all seasons of life.

The sprawling lake home Lynn Lundberg built with her husband has been an epicenter of joyful family life, from summer holidays spent around the water, to cookies baked in the kitchen with grandchildren in the fall. But since her husbands sudden passing two years ago, Lynn has been lost in the grief and solitude she feels without him at home. She doesnt want to sell the big family place, but she cant exist there on her own much longer.

After hearing of a new way of livingwhere single women share responsibilities as housematesLynn thinks shes found the answer to her prayers. Soon she meets two ladies with whom she could begin this journey. Angela Bishop, a successful real estate agent accustomed to the finer things in life, has just been jilted by her husband of twenty-five-years. Judith Rutherford, who has devoted her adulthood to caring for her ailing father, must leave the only home shes known now that he has passed.

These three women seek a place to grieve, to laugh, and to be renewed. But coming from such differing circumstances, will the new challenges they face undo their plans? Or will they begin a friendship to see them through the years to come in this Someday Home?

This is a book about shared housing. Sounds absolutely boring, doesnt it? Well let me assure you it is far from boring. Lynn is a recent widow, Angela is a divorcee and Judith is a single woman because her father has just died. They all need someplace to live and Lynn has this big home so. All three are broken, have issues of the heart and desires too. Under the expert direction of Ms. Snelling they learn to meld together as sisters and as friends. These ladies are so real that you forget you are reading and you feel that you are actually hanging out with old friends. There are no car chases, nothing blows up however Someday Home is exciting, interesting and will keep you flipping pages as these characters work to deal with their new joys and sorrows. I enjoyed this book. I am so looking forward to the next book from the pen of the very talented Lauraine Snelling.

I read out of my comfort zone when I picked up Someday Home and I'm so glad I did. This is a book about relationship -- both with the Lord and the people you let into your life. There's a special strength that comes from leaning on the Lord and that's just what each of these women discover when life throws a major detour into their chosen paths.

Midlife heroines aren't plentiful in fiction as a rule but I really enjoyed the fresh perspective. Have to say Lynn is my favourite. A widow struggling to find balance after the untimely loss of her husband. Her grown kids are worried about her and aren't shy of sharing their opinions. Love the dynamics in that family. They're a hundred per cent behind her when she decides on giving this new-fangled house sharing idea a try. Lynn feels God's nudge as she goes about looking for the right housemates.

Point of view shifts between Lynn, Judith and Angela as they grapple with their new found reality. Loved witnessing the bond of friendship that grows between them. And the growth they make as their lives intermingle and they learn to draw support from one another. Truly a soul satisfying read.

This novel brings together three lost and lonely women and turns them into a family.

Lynn is a widow with a home thats too big for her, but she doesnt want to give it up.

Angela is a real estate agent whose husband found greener pastures. She wants to leave bad memories behind.

Judith gave up her hopes and dreams as a young woman to care for her parents. Her father put her through the wringer and didnt even have the decency to leave her a home or money. The only way she can stay in her home is if she becomes a live in caretaker for the living history museum her father created.

Three very different women who have to start life over. This new living arrangement they have will have them struggling with their new coalition. Will it work? The title says it will.

Thank you, Ms Snelling, for giving us this book of endings and beginnings.

One of the best characteristics about Lauraine Snellings books is that each one is an adventure of the heart for the reader! What the author presents is usually a heart-touching story that resounds within the soul of anyone who opens her books. Someday Home takes on various issues of women in different circumstances in life. I loved it, especially because the women were middle-aged women. The house they came to live in was owned by Lyn who recently lost her husband suddenly. Now, two years later, she is going through menopause and looking for ways to experience new adventures.

Then there is Judith who is an only child, and whose father frankly was a mean man. Now Judith must leave her home and begin to find her way in life without being kept at her fathers beck and call. Last, but not least there is Angela who celebrates her 25th anniversary with her husband who then drops the bomb that he has filed for divorce. All three are broken, have issues of the heart and desires too. All three wonder just what God has in store for them when a Bassett hound shows up needing care. They learn to meld together as sisters and as friends.

I loved the scenery described in the book, which includes a lake. All three ladies enjoy quiet nights listening to crickets on the deck and just chatting or being quiet. When rough waters come, the girls learn they either draw near to God and each other or they continue to live alone. Sometimes I chuckled at certain instances in the story and other times I felt like calling a character a jerk! All in all though Lauraines novel encourages us to walk each day with our hand in Gods and that friendship is to be treasured.

Later this year Lauraines 4th book in the Song of Blessing series will be released and I look forward to reading it as I have read the other books in the series. Books are a great way to enjoy time relaxing and even more fun when shared with a friend. So visit a store, pick up Someday Home and settle back to enjoy the tale.

I enjoyed this book. It was different. It was not a romance. It is about a woman whose husband has died. She decides to invite 2 other single women to share her home. It's a "house share." I thought the descriptions were realistic. The plot was feasible. I found the story interesting. I could not do a house share. But, I still found the story interesting. Would recommend this book to a friend.
