HomeschoolMama1 Stars Out Of 5Not Christian based!September 14, 2017HomeschoolMamaQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I had heard many positive reviews about this series (for homeschooling the elementary set) ... I eagerly anticipated getting my copy so we could get started on our history studies. Upon arrival and the perusal of the material, my heart sank. I do not think that the study of gods and pagan rituals is a good thing for any Christian home to be focusing on and that is exactly the focus this series has ... I believe there is a place for mentioning that they worshipped other gods (the Bible says as much), but it doesn't need to be glorified or studied to the point/extent that the author goes into. I also noticed the Bible stories themselves were far from accurate. This book is going straight back and we will find a new history book that is better suited for our home.

Raven5 Stars Out Of 5Definitely Not Christian!June 12, 2017RavenQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Which is why I bought it! I was so happy to find an ancient history book that's not full of christian fairy tales presented as fact and treats that religion on equal footing with the others where it belongs. My son hasn't started using it yet, but I've read quite a bit of it and love it. I can't wait to do the activities together! Although, I don't think we're going to mummify a chicken. There's plenty of other projects though!

All products in which I have seen have a heavy Pagan or anti-Christian tone. Pagan fables are treated as if they are as valid as Christianity. The projects are very Pagan in nature. Some examples of Pagan projects are build a Pagan temple, mummify a chicken, make tattoos, etc. The Well Trained Mind curriculum design has children reading Mein Kampf and Communist Manifesto. As an adult solid in my faith, I still would not saturate my mind with the thoughts of Hitler. Where is the discernment amongst believers?!
