Katrina B.4 Stars Out Of 5SoW - Middle AgesJuly 28, 2017Katrina B.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Just what we needed. My DD has a gap in history from public school, so I needed to find something she could read quickly before entering 8th grade. Fun reading made it easy for her to soak in the facts from this time period.

Kels4 Stars Out Of 5story of the world vol 2January 20, 2017KelsQuality: 4Value: 3Meets Expectations: 4As an introduction to world history, this is one of the best around. But just as with all historians there are parts with some creative interpretations. But still we use this as part of our History cirriculim along with other history tools and have great discussions about events of the past. We have all of the volumes in this series.

JG5 Stars Out Of 5SOW Vol 2November 22, 2016JGQuality: 3Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We love these series. They are very well written and easy for children to understand. We used to accompany what we were doing in our CC community each week and also use the activity guide and cd. They are worth every penny!

Ali1 Stars Out Of 5not so helpfulFebruary 2, 2016AliQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1My 9 year old is homeschooled and was asked to read this as part of her history coop class. We both really felt it was a bit much for her and she struggled with understanding it! I really don't see the excitement in it at all. Neither of us are history buffs, so maybe that's why, but we will look for something a little less overwhelming and easier to learn for history.

My kids are not home schooled and I bought this set as an enrichment activity after reading an article about home schooling in the paper. Susan has a way of writing that really capture's my children's attention. My kids are also learning about history as well as geography because we reference maps as we are reading. Highly recommend this series!
