Publisher's Description

Seattle Debutant Sofi Andersson will do everything in her power to protect her sister who is suffering from shock over their father’s death. Charles, the family busy-body, threatens to lock Trina in a sanatorium—a whitewashed term for an insane asylum—so Sofi will rescue her little sister, even if it means running away to the Cascade Mountains with only the new gardener Neil Macpherson to protect them. But in a cabin high in the Cascades, Sofi begins to recognize that the handsome immigrant from Ireland harbors secrets of his own. Can she trust this man whose gentle manner brings such peace to her traumatized sister and such tumult to her own emotions? And can Nei, the gardener continue to hide from Sofi that he is really Dr. Neil Galloway, a man wanted for murder by the British police? Only an act of faith and love will bridge the distance that separates lies from truth and safety.

    Sofi's Bridge***** by Christine Lindsay

1913...Seattle, Washington...Sofi Anderson is determined to keep Charles from putting her traumatized sister Trina, into a sanatorium. She is convinced, given time and love, Trina will recover the tragic death of their father's drowningwhich Trina witnessed. With Charles becoming ever more brazen and deviouswhat is he really after?she develops a plan to whisk her sister secretly away. However, her plan is discovered by their mysterious gardener, Neil Macpherson, and he goes with them to hide away in a cabin high in the Cascade Mountains. Neil has his own secrets, can he really be trusted with their lives? More secrets are revealed, danger lurks ever near while hearts draw closer.

Beautiful descriptions of the Cascade Mountains and Seattle bring the reader off the pages right into the story. What a great cast of characters, which are well developedeven the unsavory ones. ;-) My favorite characters are Sofi and Neil, along with the outspoken housekeeper Matildagotta love her. Mystery, suspense, adventure, murder, greed motivating so much evil, healing and forgiveness, secrets and more secretssome shocking when revealed, strong emotions, more courage than one realized when needed, and strong faithI appreciate the faith elements woven throughout the storyline. There is budding romance and love among all this tragedy and uncertainties, a love that may be short lived if authorities learn of a certain person(s) whereabouts.

~I received a PDF copy of the book from the author, (no monetary gain were exchanged), this is my honest review~
