"I thrust my hand toward the sky as my voice begs the Elemental inside me to waken and rise. But its no use. The curse Ive spent my entire life abhorringthe thing I trained so hard to controlno longer exists."
Nym risked her life to save Faelen, her homeland, from a losing war, only to discover that the shapeshifter Draewulf has stolen everything she holds dear. But when the repulsive monster robs Nym of her storm-summoning abilities as well, the beautiful Elemental realizes her war is only just beginning.
Now powerless to control the elements that once emboldened her, Nym stows away on an airship traveling to the metallic kingdom of Bron. She must stop Draewulf. But the horrors hes brought to life and the secrets of Bron are more than Nym bargained for. Then the disturbing Lord Myles tempts her with new powers that could destroy the monster, and Nym must decide whether she can compromise in the name of good even if it costs her very soul.
As she navigates the stark industrial cityscape of Bron, Nym is faced with an impossible choice: change the future with one slice of a blade . . . or sacrifice the entire kingdom for the one thing her heart just cant let go.
Mary Weber is the author of the Scholastic Pick, Christy, Carol, and INSPY Award winning young adult novel, Storm Siren, and the Storm Siren Trilogy. As a conference and avid school speaker, Webers passion is helping others find their voice amid a too-loud world. In her spare time she sings 80s songs to her three muggle children and ogles her husband, who looks strikingly like Wolverine. They live in California, which is perfect for stalking tacos, Joss Whedon, and the ocean. Just Commonly4 Stars Out Of 5Second installment - meaning of compassion and loveMarch 24, 2016Just CommonlyQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4WHOA!!! WOW!!! First, lets just comment on how GORGEOUS these covers are. I'm nearly mesmerized by it, all of them, but then you read the stories, and you're blown away by the intensity that the covers are just the tip of it. And with Siren's Song, so appropriate with the rings and the green. Just perfect.
I read the full Storm Siren trilogy by Mary Weber all at once in a span of 3 days.
Siren's Fury continued straight off of Storm Siren, with a little prelude of the last moments in Storm Siren, and we are reminded of the choice Nym made and the cost of it. As we continue on in Siren's Fury, we are confronted with the thoughts of hate and trust. Will hate drive Nym to become a person she, herself have loathe and despised, or will she trust others that may have their own hidden agenda? And in turn, will compassion and love drive out demons that possessed the world and those she loves? Worlds come together in this second book of the trilogy. From Cashlin to Bron to Tulla, we ride in style (airship designed by Eogan), and be confronted with danger, action and camaraderie, a little different than what we first saw in Storm Siren, but nonetheless, characters we will begin to love. And with this book, as a reader, I can finally and fully see how innovative Mary Weber is! She created a new world that have no connection to our world and gave us thoughts of travel through mountains and forests. With each place, a distinction, from Luminescents of Cashlin to Terrenes of Tulla, a world of fantasy have come alive in Siren's Fury. And with that, we're thrown into the final installment of this epic trilogy.

EmilyAnne284 Stars Out Of 5The Exciting Sequel to Storm SirenSeptember 2, 2015EmilyAnne28Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The sequel to Storm Siren, Sirens Fury continues from the dreadful cliffhanger that left me gasping for hope. After winning the war with Bron, Nym finds that the war against Draewolf has only just begunDraewolf has taken form of the most powerful man in Bron, planning to wreak havoc on the world. Nym is determined to stop him. The only problem is, Draewolf has stolen her powers.
Sirens Fury was crazy! I was so afraid for Nym! She seemed so lost and, as usual, angry. She made a terrible choice that was more likely to ruin everything than to solve all the problems as she hoped. I was entirely afraid her choice would result in something terrible.
Sirens Fury was pretty dark. Nym spent most of the book angry, heartbroken, and depressed as she fought against her enemies. The entire book hinged on that one decision she made. The consequences of that choice made the story become darker and darker from the evil magic involved and the effects it was having on Nym.
The descriptions of the country of Bron stayed in my mind. It was a violent country, full of harsh rules and sharp edges. There were factories, technological advances, and pollution. The people were used to a violent king. I am still not sure what would happen if Nym, their once enemy, marries their new, kinder king.
Overall, I enjoyed Sirens Fury for its interesting plot and the continuation of the series, but I wish it was not as dark. I intend to read the third book in the series when it is published.

MarbieThe NetherlandsAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Cleverly written and brilliantly plotted.June 10, 2015MarbieThe NetherlandsAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Sirens Fury is an awesome sequel to Storm Siren. I read both books back to back and am very impressed with the author's writing style. Book twoSiren's Fury is darker than book oneStorm Siren and at times moving a bit slow however this is not a disadvantage as you get the time to process the storyline. Sirens Fury is just as cleverly written and brilliantly plotted as Storm Siren. The ending is another cliffhanger, but this one is better to handle than the one in the first book. :) Cant wait to read the last book of this powerful series!
Smoothie71AlabamaAge: 18-24Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Just as thrilling as the first!June 5, 2015Smoothie71AlabamaAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0We all have things within us that can be good or can turn to bad. We all have fears that threaten to either harden us or bring about compassion and love.
For Nym, she comes in contact with both.
Mary Weber's first book, Storm Siren was so excellent and thrilling. I knew the second one would be just as good and had anticipated it coming out. When it did, I grabbed it. (Literally. Y'all I stayed up till 11:00pm at night just to ensure I got my copy to review... I would've bought it had I failed. ;) )
Siren's Fury picked up where Mary's last book left off. From joy and excitement to chaos and confusion to more battles in need of winning. Nym is right in the middle of it and less prepared for it than she knows.
When faced with many trials, Nym struggles to make the right decisions. The ones she makes can lead to good or bad and the results so far are shaky at best. Will Nym find the courage she needs to do right even when everything within her screams not to? Can she overcome the darkness both she and her former trainer, Eogan are faced with?
A must-read this summer!!! Great for all ages, it's a page-turner, and you might have a few late nights until you finish this one. Great job, Mary!! I can't wait for your next book! (Oh yes, there will be a third book coming next year!)

JanetBelton, TXAge: 45-54Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Fast Moving and Unsettling, a Desperate StoryJune 5, 2015JanetBelton, TXAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Book Two of the Storm Siren Trilogy, Siren's Fury, is here! And just as I anticipated from the last five pages of the first book, Nym's situation has gone from devastating to deadly. Not only has Draewolf stolen the love of her life, he's taken her powers as well. Now she must find a way to defeat him without any of the advantages she's come to depend on.
I found this book to be unsettling. The tension was high. The losses profound. Nym's alliances weren't to be trusted and neither were her instincts. She's an emotionally fragile character acting on desperation, making quick and uninformed decisions as she attempts to thwart evil and discover what's true. Imagine a political conspiracy theory story in a fantasy setting. Pretty much anything goes . . . and it did.
But as with the first book, I loved the ending and am anticipating Book Three. I can't even begin to imagine where Mary Weber will take Nym next, but I'm hoping Nym will discover who she truly is--and that all of her friends will survive the final storm.
