Moira St. Clair has done exactly what her father forbade her to do: chased her dreams to sing on the stage. But even as her star rises, she becomes more vulnerable to those who wish to use heror bring her down….
It is 1886, and the St. Clairs are living out their dreams in three very separate parts of the worldParis, Brazil and Colorado. And while each has found a measure of success and joy, each is haunted by past sins and secrets.Once home in Colorado, the St. Clairs struggle to learn what it means to sing praise to Godeven in the face of tremendous lossand trust Him in all things, even when forced to fight for their very lives.
Lisa T. Bergren is the best-selling, award-winning author of over thirty books, with more than 1.5 million copies sold. A former publishing executive, she now splits her time working as a freelance editor and business consultant and parenting her three young children with husband Tim. She lives in Colorado Springs.
Bergren, author of more than 30 books, brings back the fictional St. Clair family siblings in this second installment in her Homeward Trilogy. Bergren deftly transitions among the separate stories of Odessa, Moira, and Dominic, before intertwining two of their paths. Odessa and husband Bryce struggle with fierce snowstorms that take the lives of many of their finest horses, and Bryce's brother Robert, come to help smooth out matters, only complicates them. Moira, swindled out of her money, travels back to the States and meets not one but two intriguing men en route home. Both take a strong interest in this singer, but only one has her best interest at heart. Dominic, the brawler, is taken captive on a sailing vessel and spends the bulk of the book fighting his way back to freedom. These three distinct storylines could very well be disjointed in the hands of a lesser writer, but Bergren makes it work seamlessly. (Apr.) Copyright 2010 Reed Business Information.

Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Really enjoyed this continuation of the trilogy!December 23, 2015Britt98Grand Prairie, TXAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Sing was a very enjoyable continuation of the Homeward Trilogy. It is book two in the series and started off a little slowly. However, the story is extremely interesting from start to finish and really took off for me about half way through the book.
I really enjoyed the way this book continued to alternate between the three St. Clair siblings. It was great to see what was happening with all of them. Moiras story was the primary one, with Dominic and Odessa also having troubles of their own that they were dealing with.
While some things wrap up in this book, there are some loose ends that continue on into book three. I was very happy to be able to pick up the next book in the series and continue on. I would definitely recommend having book three, Claim, ready to read before you reach the end of Sing! Very enjoyable!
I won this book in a giveaway. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It was filled with suspense, and life for the characters was not without its problems. At times it seemed too worldly for my liking but prior to becoming a Christian we all make poor choices so in that way it is very realistic. The author does a great job of holding the reader's attention throughout the entire book. I'm looking forward to reading book 3 in the series and may even have to go back and read book 1 at some point.
