Master Books' Simply K curriculum is an easy-to-follow, day-by-day curriculum that builds early readiness skills through play and simple teacher-led exercises.
Each week features a prep page that lists supplies needed, objectives, a memory verse, a "look ahead" and extended activity ideas. Each daily lesson has four focus areas:
- Bible: Biblical stories, character teachings & memory verses with motions
- Rhyme Time: Fun poetry, vocabulary words & letter recognition
- Life Skills: Weather, emotions, safety/emergencies, hygiene & more
- ABC's and More: The Alphabet, learning to write letters & basic reading
Lessons are fully scripted with instructions for the teacher; activities are right there in each lesson. This course includes helpful tips, games, a biblical focus on lessons from God's Word and how we can live for Him, ideas for extended learning, and activities, all based on skills developed through play and interaction. The back of the book includes a diploma, ABC mini-books, and poster charts.
A weekly scope & sequence is provided highlighting the instruction for this 3-day-a-week course. A master supply list is also included.
