Tell us a little about yourself. Noelle Borgia, a ministry school graduate, author, teacher, pianist, and vocalist, has a heart for those struggling with addiction and a passion for introducing people to a personal relationship with the Lord. She is married to Salvatore "Sam" Borgia, a corporate executive chef, who was freed from the bondage of addiction in 2018. Together, they have launched Shattered Mirror Ministries with the unified mission of helping to empower addicts to see freedom from addiction, a new identity in Christ, lasting victory, and fulfill their God-given purposes. They live in Washington, Michigan, with their two daughters.
What was your motivation behind this project? Going through ministry school, we were instructed to write and share our testimonies for a class I was taking. As I began to write, suddenly, my heart was flooded by the Holy Spirit with the idea to share our story with the world. I had never thought about writing a book before, but once the Lord placed it on my heart, there was a nagging sensation and more than a gentle nudging inside my heart daily telling me: "Write the book!" What resulted was another miraculous testimony in and of itself.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? You may have been told to lower your expectations, but I am here to tell you that your expectations are not high enough! We pray for healing from physical disease, but somehow, addiction and mental health seem to fall into a category that even Christians may view as "impossible" for God. But we serve the GOD OF IMPOSSIBLE. Why do we put human limits on a supernatural God? I want to lift your eyes to see that what the Lord has in store for you is better, WAY BETTER, than just living a lifetime in recovery! When faith in God's Word is meshed with a higher perspective and a higher vision, the impossible suddenly becomes possible! What do I hope you will gain? ...FREEDOM! Freedom from the bondage of addiction, freedom from the lies the enemy has spoken over you, freedom from an identity that God didn't write for you!
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? All my life, I have felt the Lord calling me to build his Kingdom. Although I have had many seasons of ministry and many missions along the way, I never truly felt that they were my true calling. My life is now being continually transformed as I have sought the Lord and leaned in to hear His voice with more intent. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt now, that I have been called to preach the Good News near and far so that all might hear...what He has done for us, He can and WILL do for you!
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I devour anything and everything pertaining to our faith. I am a perpetual student of the Word, and at any given time I am probably reading many translations of the Bible, along with 4-5 other books on my nightstand...they could be John Bevere (who wrote a lovely endorsement for my book), the history of Christianity, prophecy (I love Prophecy Watchers magazine), devotionals, studying for the Bible study I lead, books about spiritual formation, etc... likely all of the above and many more in any given week!
I am also a piano vocalist, so at any given hour, you may find me singing and playing at the piano, excited to learn some new worship song.

Our faith is greatly increased by testimonies! We serve a living God, the author of miracles, and those miracles didn't stop when the Bible was assembled... We just don't have enough room in our libraries or bookshelves to contain them all. But, I hope you make room on your bookshelf for these miracles that I want to share with you, and our prayer is that your faith is significantly increased! Victory starts now!
