Get ready to hold on to your seat as the suspense unfolds and the intrigue deepens. Bailey Adams has been in Mexico as a missionary teacher for eight months and has developed some strong attachments to the people there, particularly Maria, the four-year-old daughter of a Mexican father and an American mother who are both dead. Danny Maxwell, to whom she was briefly engaged, suddenly appears in the cafe where she is eating breakfast before catching a flight home for a short visit. Things unexpectedly take a nasty turn and they are running for their lives with Maria in tow. She was making the trip with Bailey in order to visit her mothers parents who live a couple of hours from Logan Point. Although they escape the evil men who are after them, they are hard-pressed to know who they can trust. Even back in their home town, they are constantly looking over their shoulders. Knowing that the Mexican drug cartel is involved, Danny and Bailey initially believe the crooks are chasing them so they can kidnap Maria for ransom. The plot takes another sinister twist when they realize there is much more at stake than the risk of Maria getting kidnapped. This story has a great mix of action, suspense, mystery, romance, and faith woven throughout its pages. If you enjoy romantic suspense, I recommend you read this book.
Fitzysmom4 Stars Out Of 5Review from Rambles of a SAHMJuly 3, 2016FitzysmomQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Patricia Bradley ended the Logan Point series with a bang! I've enjoyed watching each of the characters develop and move on with their lives and I've also eagerly anticipating each of the new characters in the following novels. Each story has had it's own unique story line but there has been a thread that was woven through each story.
Silence In The Dark begins in Mexico where Bailey Adams is serving as a missionary. By chance Bailey stumbles upon the local drug cartel and that leads to some very intense survival scenes. I was drawn even further into the unfolding drama by the selfless acts of strangers. We're reminded that sometimes it's important to reach beyond yourself and make a difference in someone's life, even if you don't know them.
I refuse to give away an ending, but I will say this, you will be blown away with the beauty of a second chance. When I closed the cover I had a smile on my face. In the end we're reminded that circumstances may seem dire but there is always hope because God is on His throne.

Now despite her best efforts, Danny is her only chance of escaping the people chasing her and getting back to Logan Point safely. Can Bailey find the strength to face whats coming? And in the midst of the chaos, can she keep herself from falling in love with her rescuer all over again?
With lean, fast-paced prose that will keep you turning the pages, Patricia Bradley pens a superb story of suspense and second chances.
Bailey starts off in Mexico where the bad guys try to kill her. She escapes with Maria back to Logan Point and the bad guys try to kill both her and Maria there. I am not going to give the identities of the bad guys away but get ready I dont think you will be able to figure it out. If you are in the mood for some crime solving, lots of danger, really diabolical villains, romance, and plenty of fun trying to figure out the criminal mastermind then you have come to the right place. Silence in the Dark is a thriller, no doubt about it. Just when you think you might know where the story is heading Ms. Bradley tosses in another turn which you take at high-speed on two wheels. Ms. Bradley makes her Bailey and Danny so real and you root for them to complete their mission and you root for their romance to blossom. Ms. Bradley knows how to tell a story that keeps you flipping the pages and guessing as to who the bad guy really is. This is a wild ride read. I am sorry to see this series end but I am looking forward to the next offering from this highly talented author.
