Product Description

The purpose of this book is to help pastors regain their spiritual perspective in the trials of ministry by understanding how suffering is used by God to develop the pastor and the church.

"In light of the continual exodus of pastors from ministry," writes Daman, "this book strives to provide pastors with a biblical perspective that will encourage them to remain in ministry by understanding how suffering is part of our calling. While most books focus upon the emotional side of the struggles of ministry, this book strives to look at the issue from a biblical and theological perspective in order to gain a clearer perspective of how God has called us to a live of suffering and how he uses this to further advance his kingdom. This perspective begins with an understanding of the unique pressures that we face in ministry and how suffering is part of our calling. But suffering must be placed within the context of God and his activity and nature. Only then can we begin to understand what we are called to be in ministry and the privilege that comes with serving the church."
