Erasmus5 Stars Out Of 5Max at his maximumJuly 16, 2018ErasmusQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Safe in the Shepherd's Arms is the type of writing I have grown to love an expect from Max Lucado. It is a beautifully illustrated, beautifully written book. Interspersed between each verse of Psalm 23 is a story, cross references, a poem or a quote from one of his other books to illustrate the meaning of the verse. If one comes to this book for scholarly exegesis, forget about it. This is not the book for you. However, if you approach this book for what it is, a book packed with explanations and illustrations of Psalm 23 that a layman will easily understand, this is a wonderful, worthwhile book.

Chuck Singleton5 Stars Out Of 5Safe in the Shepard's ArmsOctober 6, 2016Chuck SingletonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have read virtually all of Max Lucado's books. I never tire of reading his works. Safe in the Shepard's Arms is excellent considering that my wife and I go through the entire Bible each year (since 2007). This includes a com-
plete walk through Psalms TWICE! We also read Proverbs 12 times each year. Much of Max's references include passages from Old and New Testaments which we recall from past readings. -

PunyFort Worth, TXAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5DisappointedJuly 2, 2013PunyFort Worth, TXAge: Over 65Gender: femaleI am only disappointed because I adored the original "Safe in the Shepherds Arms" I have bought at least 25 of those little books as gifts to my friends in hospital, personal grieving, or mothers whose sons were in Iraq. I always added the little "ty" baby sheep named "Fleece". Oh how they all loved it! I still have at least five more to share but cannot find any more. So sad! So beautiful! Bring it back, Max.
