I found this easy to read little book very comforting and encouraging to me. Reading it helped me to relax during these trying times. It is a beautifully done description of Psalm 23. I passed it along to my mother who loved it as well.

Safe in the Shepherd's Arms is the type of writing I have grown to love an expect from Max Lucado. It is a beautifully illustrated, beautifully written book. Interspersed between each verse of Psalm 23 is a story, cross references, a poem or a quote from one of his other books to illustrate the meaning of the verse. If one comes to this book for scholarly exegesis, forget about it. This is not the book for you. However, if you approach this book for what it is, a book packed with explanations and illustrations of Psalm 23 that a layman will easily understand, this is a wonderful, worthwhile book.

This is a beautiful book, in content and presentation. Something I will read again and again. Max Lucado is an exceptional writer and delivers again.
