Publisher's Description

Shark Kiss, Octopus Hug is a sweet and funny picture book about friendship—under the sea!

Charlie the shark and Olivia Octopus were the best friends the ocean had ever seen. All Charlie wanted was a hug. Olivia desperately wished for a kiss. This is the story of how they both found what they were looking for.

Author Bio

Lynn Rowe Reed and her golden retriever spent a year hanging out on a dog beach in Florida looking for sharks and octopuses. After failing to see either, they returned to Indiana, where there are no oceans but lots of corn and basketball. Lynn is the author-illustrator of ten picture books, including Pedro, His Perro, and the Alphabet Sombrero, which was selected for a Best in Children's Book Illustration show at the Museum of American Illustration. She has also illustrated numerous picture books, such as Punctuation Takes a Vacation by Robin Pulver, and has done work for the Wall Street Journal and National Public Radio.

Kevin Cornell rarely goes to the beach, but he does frequently hug and kiss his wife and dog when at home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The rest of the time, he's illustrating books, such as Mustache! and Count the Monkeys, both by Mac Barnett, and the J.J. Tully chapter book series by Doreen Cronin.
