College student Kaitlyn Farrows is floundering after a relationship with her professor leaves her pregnant. Author Bio

Georgiana Daniels resides in the beautiful mountains of Arizona with her super-generous husband and three talented daughters. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and now has the privilege of homeschooling by day and wrestling with the keyboard by night. She enjoys sharing God’s love through fiction and is exceedingly thankful for her own happily ever after.

Editorial Reviews

"Georgiana Daniels is a courageous writer. She emotionally takes you to places other authors rarely dare, making you care about her characters while eagerly turning pages. Just when you think you can’t bear the tension and heartache a moment longer, she shows you the true beauty of God’s love. Because she braves taking her characters to the very brink of emotional destruction, the redemption story shines even brighter. Shadows of Hope embroils its characters in an impossible situation that only God could unravel and heal, and only Georgiana Daniels could deliver such a story so fearlessly."

–Erica Vetsch, author of My Heart Belongs in Fort Bliss, Texas

Daniels explores the ramifications of adultery in this poignant story. While faith plays a valuable role in the book, Daniels offers no easy answers—a realistic and appreciated approach to a thorny reality—because such would be an injustice. Characters hurt, grieve, and struggle for peace, just like the rest of us. An excellent read. Includes discussion questions.

I'm trying to venture out more in my readings and hopefully uncover some books/authors that I may not have tried in the past. This book/author may not necessarily be that choice.

The writing was a little different, being privy to details between a married man, his wife and his girlfriend. Not a very comforting story, but then again, not every life is perfect. I didn't really connect with any of the characters, I couldn't root for any of them as I didn't really like any of them.

I guess it has a story line that will generate some conversation, just not a conversation that I, as a guy, want to have.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review

Shadows of Hope, written by Georgiana Daniels, is the first book I've read by this author.

I thoroughly enjoyed the writing abilities of this author. I liked how she had the POV's by all three of the characters, Marissa (wife), Colin (cheater), & Kaitlyn (mistress).

Fictional infidelity stories are difficult for me to read, but I think Daniels did a great job at writing it. These are realistic characters even though many times they don't have redeeming qualities readers would be drawn to initially.

The ending...depends who you are as to if you'll like it. It makes you think. Some readers may wish for more closure, but sometimes this kind of ending leaves you with...as the title says, Shadows of Hope.

I received this paperback from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.

I was drawn to this book because of the title. This is truly a story about the shadows of hope. Every character was hoping for something. There were times when it was communicated and times when it was not. It is a story of learning to love yourself and accept that no one can love you like God. It is about forgiveness and letting go of the live you planned and living the life that you have now. Readers will either sympathize or hate these characters. Some readers will find themselves in these pages and others will be glad that this is not their story. This is a story for everyone because life is about learning from your mistakes.

I read this book fairly quickly and really didn't want to put it down. I found it raw, emotional yet entertaining. It was written from three different character perspectives which was fantastic as I loved getting that glimpse into what they were thinking and feeling as the story unravelled. I also fully appreciated the ending the author wrote. That there was no fairy tale happy ending, but much more of a realistic one.

Great book and well worth the read.

Thank you to the publisher for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am very happy to recommend this book
