bookchick_annie5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent Christian Romantic SuspenseOctober 18, 2023bookchick_annieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Shadows at Dusk, #2.Wowsers! Goddard promised to take readers on a wild and crazy ride...and she certainly didn't disappoint. This book was a rollercoaster thrill-ride from the very first page until the last. There was always something going on: danger, suspense, angst, crashing, rescuing, lots of bad guys causing chaos, many prayers said, and crises of the heart. My head was spinning from everything. And I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
I loved getting to know Carrie and Trevor, and visiting Autumn, Greer, and Nolan (from Cold Light of Day - read it if you haven't).
This is Christian Romantic Suspense at its finest!
Highly recommend.
Many thanks to Revell and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor or expectation. I received both an eARC and a paperback. -
GiGi145 Stars Out Of 5Fantastic Book!October 14, 2023GiGi14This review was written for Shadows at Dusk, #2.Shadows at Dusk by Elizabeth Goddard is a fantastic second book in her, Missing in Alaska series is fantastic!! It starts out with action, and it doesn't end. Carrie and Trevor's story and their back stories are amazing. I loved how they worked through their circumstances, past and present, as they worked together to solve a mystery that involves both of them.

GrandaddyAAge: Over 65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Flying over AlaskaNovember 4, 2024GrandaddyAAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Shadows at Dusk, #2.I started getting into the story and was almost ready to head to Alaska to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and amazing scenery from a floatplane. But then I came across the plane being sabotaged and decided to rethink that idea. I am not prepared to swim any distance to shore in cold water. The suspense kept me turning pages. I enjoyed the story about a police detective searching for his sister who went missing in Alaska a year earlier with nothing but a few pictures as clues. You will have to read the book to find out if he finds her and to learn if the detective and the pilot can come to terms with their personal history in order to face the future. Truthfully, I believe the only thing better than reading the book would be if I could take a sightseeing tour over southeast Alaska. The word pictures make we wish I could go and see it all for myself. However, I would want a guarantee that I would not have to face any of the dangers that Carrie and Trevor faced.

mrshofer5 Stars Out Of 5Photography, airflight, and moreApril 18, 2024mrshoferQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Shadows at Dusk, #2.This is my second book by this author and in this series. While we see the repeat town and characters from the first book, this book also works well as a standalone. Searching for a missing sister, our hero travels to Alaska and meets our bush pilot. Together they travel quite a few different places in Alaska and we get to see the beauty through them. Suspense, danger, and mystery follow them the entire book. The past and the present collide as this forced proximity and heightened emotion creates a bond between our main characters. Photography, geology, mining, and much more wait inside these pages of adventure. This is a Christian romantic suspense and it has a clean slow burn romance. I am excited to read the third book in this series.
