Editorial Reviews

So you are thinking... Whatever...another Christian-ese book...like that is what I need? My Child will not speak to me, my marriage if crumbling, I am fat, and the mortgage is due every month until Jesus comes back. I have been there, done the religion thing and it does not work.

David Housholder knows this and so he writes about what is means to have a real and personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus who is in our everyday life, who knows, cares and loves us right where we are at. We can connect as Mr. Housholder shares with such insight, humor and practical real like scenarios. Most importantly we find our connection to Christ who gives us hope and meaning in the midst of our earthly experience challenges.

David Writes: "God thinks you are worth dying for. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, a miracle of biology and spirituality, full of dreams and visions. This self-graciousness will open up intimacy and friendship with others, and the heavens will start parting so that you can bask in the joy of the Lord" Okay, so sign me up! Right?

As I read the book I began to feel better because I started to know better. Pastor Hous will help you get there too as you learn who you are in Christ. He helps unlock the secrets for meaning and purpose in real and everyday life.

- Debbie Griffith, Radio Host, Everyday Matters

David Housholder has written a devotional gem. The secrets he tells are indeed secrets to many. They are well known but so often neglected truths of Christian living. The centrality of knowing God, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, prayer, being present, and living with love, discipline and joy are a few of these great secrets, But the book does more than present foundational spiritual disciplines. It inspires. It is engagingly written, well illustrated and tells us how to practice these secrets. David tells of his own personal experiences and brings us into the moment with him while he tells us how to live faithfully in the moment with Christ.

- Dr. Robert B Sloan, Jr. President, Houston Baptist University
