Faith and Family5 Stars Out Of 5Settle My Soul Book ReviewMay 10, 2019Faith and FamilyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love the beautiful floral cover . The color scheme is so soft and not bold, more relaxing looking at it,some books can be a turn off just by there covers, not this one. I also love how the 100 devotions broken in half by each author ,each one is more relaxing to read and enjoy than the other one.I could read this over and over again.
This is great for those busy mornings when you want to get some quiet time in with God ,and it fits perfect with my Bible journaling
It came very quickly! Would highly recommend for moms who don't stop and smell the flowers.
I give this book a 5 star, and I would recommend this book to Everyone

Nay DeniseNJAge: 25-34Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Great devotionalMay 7, 2019Nay DeniseNJAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I must admit that I am a fan of the beautiful floral cover with pink foil. The cream and pink color scheme really intrigued me. Even the inside of the devotional is just as pretty in pink. The devotionals are set up with a title and focal scripture. Then there are 1-2 pages of content centered around the topic and scripture followed by a prayer, questions for reflection and lines to journal your thoughts.
100 devotions broken in half by each author. The devotions themselves are real and makes it personal and easy to relate to the authors. Some include cross references, but they all show some way to apply scripture to your every day life.
This is great for those busy mornings when you want to get some quiet time in with God before running errands. Great to use with a journal and dive deep.
HeidiMarie4 Stars Out Of 5Settle My SoulApril 14, 2019HeidiMarieQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Settle my Should: 100 Quiet Moments to Meet with Jesus by Karen Ehman and Ruth Schwenk is a devotional for busy women who struggle to find the time each day to connect with Jesus. For each day, the authors give a short devotional that puts something new into perspective for readers. Then a short prayer, some questions for reflection, and a little bit of space for journaling.
First of all, this book is absolutely beautiful. It's a white floral hardcover with a blue ribbon to mark your place. But I also really enjoyed reading it, too. I did a lot of journaling as I read and it really made me think.
The only thing that I didn't like about this book was that it often didn't give much room for answering the questions, sometimes only as much as 2 lines. So, if you do read this, I would have a journal nearby rather than writing in the book itself. They really should have extended the writing space onto the next page in order to allow readers the space to fully think about and answer the questions.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I plan on gifting this to a friend. I gave this 4/5 stars.

JennAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5devotionalApril 2, 2019JennAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5You may have heard of one of these gals, I have read a book by both of these ladies. I like Karen's enthusiasm for sharing kindness and Ruth's encouragement in mothering. This devotional is a combination of those two things. Short daily devotional, with a Scripture to focus on, prayer, and a question or two to reflect on with an area to write your response. Here are a couple inside pictures:
This is one of those devotionals I would gift to a friend. The beautiful cover is hard cover with a tweed texture to it.
Kris BushOrlando, FLAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Beautiful with GREAT writingApril 1, 2019Kris BushOrlando, FLAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is one of those devotionals that you completely enjoy and devour. That you sit and linger in because of the daily journaling prompts to respond. And it is completely beautiful. The theme like the previous one (and The Better Mom Devotional) is floral. It's a hardback book with a nice ribbon bookmark (never realize how much I use bookmarks until I come across a book/bible without the ribbon already in it).
There are 100 devotions with each author writing 50 devotions. They trade off First Karen then Ruth and going back and forth for the rest of the devotional. Rest and indulging in Jesus, kindness and disappointment are some of the many topics discussed. Each devotion starts with Scripture and ends with a prayer as well as a journal prompt along with journaling space to write in the book. I enjoy these devotions greatly because there is enough to chew on. I also greatly enjoy the journaling prompts and lined space to write. I enjoy their different yet similar writing styles. I also enjoy the differing perspectives offered (as Karen has been married longer with older children than Ruth). It feels like the cover both the older mom and younger mom demographics.
(FYI: as always I received this book from the publisher in exchange for my HONEST opinion.)
