"Each of your students is a unique creation. Some are funny, some serious, some industrious, others are more thoughtful. Together, they make up the body of Christ and are each called to serve in their own special way. Serving Like Christ Together helps students discover ways to serve God by serving others. Six sessions unpack and explain the aspects of a servants heart that Jesus values most: • Humility and Sacrifice: redefining what it means to be successful • Seeing Christ in Others: learning to serve God by serving his people • Compassion: seeing need and taking action • The Holy Spirit: relying on the Holy Spirit to direct and fuel service • Bondslaves: understanding what it means to be a slave to Christ • Serving Outsiders: discovering the joy of helping difficult people Service gives students a chance to discover their gifts, build friendships inside and outside the group, and refocus their priorities on something larger than themselves."

Katherine Weber5 Stars Out Of 5January 31, 2009Katherine WeberWe found a few of these books in a bargain book store-thought it would be something we could use economically for our small group study. We were glad to be able to order additional copies from CBS. As it turned out, the group has enjoyed the study-we are all at different levels in our christian journey and it works for everyone. The topic serving has a lot of relevance in our church and everyday life.
Ruth5 Stars Out Of 5June 25, 2006RuthMy small group recently completed a study on this series. I found this book and the discussions it created within our group to be truly enlightening and uplifting. The sessions are very thought-provoking and challenge you to find opportunities to serve in everyday life. By the end of the series, you will see service opportunities everywhere. I highly recommend doing a service project as suggested in the book. My small group's project was truly a life-changing experience for me and something that I'll remember for the rest of my life. This is an amazing resource for small groups and I'd recommend it to any group leader.
